I will just leave this here

But it's $50 cheaper than a brand new one AND you get a cart! :coolkettle: The Qs don't really sell very well down here for some reason. There are literally 2 or 3 brand new Q1000s for sale for $100 or less right now.

Picked up a SS Performer. Restoration to be started this weekend

Oh, and when you have it all broken down. make sure to spray the INSIDE of the frame tubing...not to make it look pretty, but to prevent it from rusting from inside-out.

Very similar to the gas grill frame. After you take it apart, you'll probably want to use some new bolts when you put it back together. Like most Weber grills, the bolt thread is 1/4-20. And you might want to order some of these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TK56RQZ/?tag=tvwb-20...

    S-330 Clean up

What does the inside of the cabinet look like? If it's rusting at all, best to get that handled now rather than letting the rust take over. For the sides of the lids, you'll probably need to remove the sides from the hood. Then clean, sand and repaint. Or just live with it. If it were me and...

Propane tank question.......I gotta spinner :(

I don't usually try messing with the tanks. If something goes wrong on one I just go to one of those exchange-a-tank places....swap old broken one for one that works. Let gas company fix it.

The most beautiful grill I’ve ever seen

I'm with you on the cart. For charcoal grills, it's much nicer to have a storage area for chimney starter, charcoal, starter cubes, etc... but gas grill pretty much has everything built-in. Turn on gas and ignite.

Sam's Club Ribs (1st time, and not so good)

Much better looking than the ones I recently cooked. On one of of my racks some of the bones were only like 1" long. Wife no longer allowed to buy ribs!

The most beautiful grill I’ve ever seen

Good looking grill. Price is a little high. Confused why companies still keep making those enclosed cabinets. Maybe they should at least make a wire bottom to get some airflow down there to help keep the rust away.

First Annual TVWBB Upper Midwest Meet is a GO

Sounds like a fun day. Wish I was able to make it up. Looking forward to hearing about it and seeing pictures.

    Unicorn Alert for Milwaukee area

I do this too. Selling a "bundle" seems to help versus selling just the grill alone. I do usually keep those long handled brushes for my charcoal grills to help clean out ash in between cooks.

Wow, some people are so far removed from reality. Who in their right mind would think that someone would pay $400 for that grill? And did someone really pay $1,300 for that thing when it was new 30-40 years ago?

Anybody have experience with Royal Oak Chef's Select

Frontier is good stuff. I bought 10 bags of it. I haven't experienced any "sparks" in mine. I've been using my big stash of it for mostly hot and fast cooks.....wings, steaks, burgers, etc... Have not tried using it for low and slow. I typically use my KIngsford Pro for low and slow because...

    Scraper for Kettle Grunge

That plastic scrapper will work fine on a cooker. If you are trying to get it super "like new" clean you'll need a razor blade and simple green.

Any Tips for making Smash Burgers? Using Campchef SG30 Griddle on Genesis

Haha, it's well worth the $16 bucks! It's my go-to spatula. Makes cleanup a breeze. I have another one, same brand, that is a bit longer, but it's more flexible that I use if I'm doing something like breakfast on the griddle with multiple things cooking....hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, etc....

Any Tips for making Smash Burgers? Using Campchef SG30 Griddle on Genesis

If you cook it right, you can get your smash burger that same juicy medium to medium rare as your fat burger, but it takes a lot less time to cook a smash burger and you don't need to bother with a thermometer. Most people over cook smash burgers.

Any Tips for making Smash Burgers? Using Campchef SG30 Griddle on Genesis

You'd think they would smash right through the holes, but they don't!

Any Tips for making Smash Burgers? Using Campchef SG30 Griddle on Genesis

I've made smash burgers using the flat side of GrillGrates and also using a Hunsaker griddle on my 22" kettle. Prefer doing them on the kettle with Hunsaker, but both are good. Managing the messy grease is easier in the kettle with the Hunsaker because you can put small foil pans under the holes...
