wooden handles, just lid or all three?

After thinking about it some more, I think that I should either go all wood or keep the plastic. I like the newer tool holder handles, but I don't like the newer lid handle. The wood just looks so classy. Thanks for the opinions and pics of the wooden handles.

wooden handles, just lid or all three?

Hi all, I have a 2001 OTG that currently has the light grey handles. I love the look of the wooden handles. I was thinking about replacing the lid handle for a while, but I am not sure about replacing all three. Do you think it would be odd to just have wood on the lid? I have thought about...

How much food can you smoke on a mini wsm?

As the title states, I'm trying to figure out if the mini would be big enough for my needs. We are a family of 3, but sometimes have family over, and I was wondering what kind of quantity you can get on the mini. I'm trying to figure out if I want to get something bigger or if this would...

    New to me Q100!

Steve, I would say yes to grill taste on food from the Q. I have a OTG 22.5 also, and of course the food cooked over charcoal, lump charcoal and charcoal with wood chunks added, hast more flavor, but I bought my Q100 to use after work and quick cook situations. It is very good for those...

Tried out some Royal Oak lump

I was just reading an online article about the competition Kingsford. It sounds like a nice way to get the best of lump and briquettes. I will probably pick some of that up to try as well.

Tried out some Royal Oak lump

I can't believe that I haven't tried it yet, but I have a huge pecan tree in my yard that is alway dropping small branches in my yard..... I think I'll start keeping the branches and make better use of them.

Tried out some Royal Oak lump

I'll have to do that next time. I was so focused on making sure the sides and garlic bread were ready at the same time, that I didn't take any pics. I've been cooking on my Q100 a lot lately, so it was nice to go back to charcoal!

i keep hearing about royal oak charcoal and want to try it.

Tried it out tonight on some thick pork chops. Ready to cook over in less than 15 minutes and awesome flavor as well. I would have to say that I really like the Royal Oak lump. Steve

Tried out some Royal Oak lump

Fired up my OTG tonight for some thick pork chops. I had bought some Royal Oak lump charcoal on a special while on a visit to Colorado. I was very impressed with the short amount of time it took to be ready to cook. It was ready to go within 15 minutes. The pork chops turned out great with...

    Really liking my Q100!

George, I know what you mean about getting one cheap. I paid 30.00 for mine. I bought a rolling cart of ebay for 35.00 and got the weber hose kit to hook up to a large tank for 25.00 at home depot. For 90.00 bucks, I think I have a nice setup. I've seen your red 220 and it looks cool in that...

i keep hearing about royal oak charcoal and want to try it.

I've been wanting to try RO as well. I picked up 2 8.8lb bags while we were visiting relatives in Colorado last weekend. The local K-mart had it on sale for 4.79 a bag. I'll post back after trying it out. Steve

    Really liking my Q100!

I got my Q100 recently off CL. So far, I've cooked pork chops, chicken breasts, and hot dogs, and sausages. Tonight I made tilapia filets in foil. I just brushed the filets with olive oil , used some Tony Chachere's creole seasoning, and wrapped them in foil packets. I grilled them for about...

Saw a performer at a garage sale today..

I'm not a flipper either. I'm looking for good examples to keep. I wouldn't mind a chip or a little bit of rust, but this one was almost a total. It was almost like "what is still good and serviceable on this thing?". There wasn't much good left.

    Side tables on Q 120

Congratulations on the new Q. I recently picked up a used Q100 from CL for 30 dollars. I quickly added the hose to use full size propane tank and the rolling cart. I am still considering the side tables, but I'm not sure if I really need them. I may still add a thermometer from the 120. So...

Saw a performer at a garage sale today..

I was there early this morning, so hopefully someone will get it. It just had too many problems for me. I'm gonna keep looking though. I would really like a performer, and a 18.5 ots, and a smokey joe, and the rest of the makings for a mini wsm...........

Saw a performer at a garage sale today..

Thanks for confirming my thoughts. I see people getting working grills for not too much more. If the frame was good it would be a different story, but I think it's just too far gone.

Saw a performer at a garage sale today..

I thought I might have been in luck. It was marked 25.00, but grate, charcoal baskets and frame in some areas are really rusted. The lid is chipped pretty good on the edge. I know that some things can be replaced such as grates, but the frame is not great. I guess the ash catcher, lid holder...

Is everyone using the weber cart for their Q?

I picked up the rolling cart on ebay. It was 35.00 and 1.00 shipping. That was better than 50 plus tax that I found locally. I should have it by the end of the week.

    New to me Q100!

Well, the new Q is great! I got my propane tank filled, hooked it up with the Weber adapter hose, and got it started up. I let it preheat and ran a paper towel with some cooking oil on it over the grate. I cooked up 8 hot dogs and 8 brats all at the same time. Everything turned out very nice...
