Cody, I saw that. It is a good deal if you really want a simple grill and don't want to deal with LP tanks or have a rule against open flame grills. But, they are very hard to resell for a worthwhile profit.
I think those old broilmasters were highly thought of back in the 70's. I redid one and would up selling one for around $400. It was about 5-6 years ago and really a fun project, but it was clear that doing them as rehabs was just not feasible. The parts that were available were very high...
The big large one under the cook box? Those are tough to come by. I don't think anyone is making/selling them any longer to include Weber. Your best bet is to find a grill for cheap or free that you can grab one off of.
Take it to the car wash and blast it with the DIY hose. Then finish off with your car/truck. Any tubes that I intend to re-use get hit outside and inside with my pressure washer.
Jim, after further review, I think you are correct. I didn't take into account that the photos were possibly several years apart. I wonder why they used an old photo of the actual grill rather than a current one?
One tell that I see is the photos of the grill are clearly in two different locations. Similar, but not the same. Fence and shrubbery is different in the back ground. And that is not some grill you just shove from one side of the patio to another.
Those grills are used in scams on FB all the time. Usually they are priced way less, but maybe scammers are realizing that people have associated "Too good to be true" listing with scams.
