Yah, almost like a grill cleaning/maintenance operation instead of a rehab operation.

There you go. Thanks Cody. I think the ones for the 1-1/4" tubing are harder to find. Does anyone have a good (less expensive) source for those?

I bought a ten pack and have used them on a few rehabs. I think I still have a couple left. Even though I now usually weld the failed connections, I do like having a couple sets of the connectors on hand as options.

The McMaster link I provided are ones that I have ordered and used in the past and was very happy with them. I could not find exactly what I wanted off Amazon or Ebay. But, I have not ordered or looked for them for a couple years.

IMO: The actual tube connecting nuts are superior. They don't have the exposed square flange and they have dual star nuts which should have better grip than a single star nut. And, after all, that is what Weber originally used. I do not know of a stainless version of them.

I used those before as well. But they are really designed to be used as table leveling inserts. They are not really designed as "Tube Connecting" inserts. They don't hold as well and the square flange on the end does not fit inside the tube, so it sticks out when installed.

    Reputable websites to buy parts???

I think most people have had a card compromised at some point. I have a couple times. One time a bunch of charges for Itunes songs. Just a few bucks each. Must have been a kid. Another time someone used it down in Georgia at several places and charged up a couple grand in hours. Luckily...

This is a specific thread and you probably would have been better off starting your own new thread in the gas grill forum section: https://tvwbb.com/forums/weber-gas-grills-griddles.91/ =================================================== These are what you want...

    Weber Parts Deals

I am amazed at how many of my buyers come for a grill and don't even care for me to light it. Most spend 2 minutes looking at the grill and 20 minutes shooting the sh1t in the driveway before we load it up.

If you are offering a product for a price that people want to buy, you should be proud of that. In my opinion.

It doesn't really matter how long it takes to do a better job or how much more work it takes. All that matters is if he can fine people to buy what he is offering at the price he asks. If he is moving grills, then more power to him. If he isn't, well, then he won't be rehabbing very long.

Was that serial number for the grill with the U/I bracket? If so, it comes back as: Genesis 1000 LX LP Blk (USA) 211701

Interesting Video and a product I will buy!

Just a good first hand example and explanation of the whole situation. I think the guy is very honest and open about the problem and even mentions that a lot of products "made in china" are actually quality products. If more stuff was indeed manufactured in the USA it would bring the overall...

That bracket is interesting. I will be interested to find out what it is for. It does look like something that could very possible be part of the grill. But I am totally unfamiliar with it.

A little less expensive: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001HYY0L8?tag=tvwb-20 These don't come with the inserts however.

My Walmart has the same deal. So it is probably franchise wide. If you are looking for a good and inexpensive wireless thermometer, it might be a good time to pull the trigger.

Pretty darn good price. Is that one red or orange?
