We've got WOOD to look forward to....

Yeah, not a very good design in my book. I have had an idea of a cart that hooks onto the handle of the kettle like some of the tables I have seen. As muck as I love my Performer, it doesnt offer enough storage.

We've got WOOD to look forward to....

I have not subscribed to Wood in a few years now as it was becoming repetitive. Any chance you can give us a picture or link to this upcoming article?

    warranty question

Even buying the bowl and lid you are doing good. Total for mine when I rebuilt a classic SS Performer was around $125 shipped. That and the $50 I paid for the used and abused Performer was under $200. You cant get a new one for that.

Performer Charcoal Basket -- Does the coal stay dry?

I store too much other stuff in the bin, so I keep my open bag of charcoal in a Kingsford Charcoal Kaddy. I have seen them at Ace and Home Depot. Lowes also has them.

    The incredible shrinking burger

I have always hand formed my burgers until I found that burger press. I picked it up at WalMart for $4.99. I was always making the burger way too big. (Half pound plus!) Now I am getting perfect 1/3 pound patties every time.

    Rib Rack on Mini WSM

The Weber basic rack works just fine. I cut the slab of ribs in half and go at it.

    Weber Defect Question

Nah, they would NEVER send out a defect. Like this blob of excess porcelain on the inside of a bowl I received directly from Weber.

The coating on my 18 is coming off!

Russ, how old is your grill? Does the flaking look anything like this?

    Weber Family Portraits

Last September as we moved out of our house, our neighbor set this out to the curb. Early 70's is my guess. Handle is riveted on, the wheels look like steel, but are plastic. No dents or rust spots, relatively clean inside. I cant wait to clean her up and get her dirty this spring at the new...
