The best pairing memory I have is Glenfiddich 30yr single malt and fresh baked apple pie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. It was....sublime. :)

I have glass lids for my non-stick pans and my one stainless steel sauce pan - and I have of love/hate relationship. I love being able to see the status of food, but I cannot abide water spots and streaks after cleaning. I'm obsessive about re-cleaning them to get off the streaks and spots...

I always grill on the weekends and we have dinner together - my wife never feels like she has to eat by herself - even on college game day. When my son comes over sometimes we give a shout of exuberance during a game - my wife says she smiles when she hears us. And for karmic balance...
