    Weber Motherload!

Some things are meant to be. Just give the items the respect they deserve, and think of your Gf in-law when you use them.

    Convert LP to NG

Hi DaveW and Denis Y, I cannot speak on the current Genesis and Summit range, but the Genesis 1000-5500 range, and the Summit Silver/Gold/Platinums DO have different valves on the main burners between Propane and NG. The difference is due to the amount of gas that is required for the burners to...

Hi Barb and Rich, 1. A fine grass fed steak skilfully cooked on a Weber. Check 2. Well chosen and prepaired sides. Check 3. A nice Shiraz to wash it all down. Check I so love it when a plan comes together. This world can be such a grand...

    Genesis 4900/5000

Hi Jeff, great find! They are well, well, worth a restore Pretty much the sideburers of the 1000-5000s are the same unit, and the manifolds usually have a gas take off point you can attach them to, so easy to do an upgrade to a full 5000. (I did not know there was a 4900 option) Rich Dahl had...

    Genesis 5000 Manifold problem

Hi PDalton, two ways to fix the flame check problem. (1) the previous owner of one of my 5000s solved it by placing half a brick on top of the flame check button to keep it depressed. Ugly, but effective. (2) Remove the flame check device. It basically goes somthing like the gas line is...

    Weber Kettle Colors - Promotions?

I have been away from home for work the past two weeks. I found this brand new, big Weber promotion in a local hardware store... Only problem is that the store is in Tuscany, Italy.

    Build your ultimate gasser ideas

This is a really good question. I would like to think that when the Weber Design team came up with the Genni it had to cook as well as the Kettle, and be acceptable to Mr Stephens. So I would like to think they made a deliberate choice between one and two layers of 'flavorizer' bars (whose...

    Build your ultimate gasser ideas

And it was still cheaper than buying original from Weber Australia (and they could not supply all the parts either) Again, a big thanks to Rich and Barb, I am looking forward to seeing the new 3000/2000/1000 Hybrid. If I could ship you my spare Gen. 5000 Rich, I would. You just keep looking...

    Rosemary-Grilled Pork Loin

ChuckO, many thanks for this. Our son's partner is a Vegetarian, and he came home without her for a few days. When asked what he would like for dinner, the answer was "Meat". So local T-Bones the first night, but your Rosmary pork loin for night two. Simple and excellent, it will now be a...

    Genesis Silver C Manifold Needed

Hi Erik, Here are some photos of a 1000 series manifold. The inlet is on the RHS, and it has two gas 'take off' points, centre and LHS (not sure what the LHS would be for ??) A close up of the centre 'take off' point, where you connect tthe side burner. If your manifold does not have...

    I need a Gas Guru..........

The regulators over time can block up, and they do come in different sizes. i would try another known good tank/regulator and see if that solves the problem.

    Genesis Silver C Manifold Needed

Hi Erik, I might be wrong, but check your Silver B manifold. I think you might find a small plug that screws out, so the gas line for the side burner can be attached. I am away from home at the moment otherwise I would check for you.
