    Fridge getting old.......REALLY old

Ahhh. But who is the cook in the house? Since I am in our house, I am able to get the single drawer freezer I’ve been wanting. She was holding her ground on a double drawer till she (was made to) realize that I open the freezer way more often than she does. Plant you argument seed and wait for it.

    Fridge getting old.......REALLY old

Ice maker/water dispenser in the door is a must for us. Our dispenser has survived 16 years with no issues. While hope is most often not a good plan, I am hoping history repeats itself….

    Fridge getting old.......REALLY old

I’m in the same boat. Bought our LG in 2008. It had few issue but it’s 16 years old. My preference is to replace prior to a DOA situation. Home Depot will haul old one away for $50. I plan to do that. Ir you can get 50 bucks, I vote take it. It’ll cost a lot more if you lose the contents...

What are you cooking for Smoke Day?

Unfortunately, we have had to move the rib cook to the WSK. We’ve added chocolate cake drizzled with ganache with mini chocolate chips. Preference was for watermelon fries vs. fruit salad. Less work for moi.

Concerned my Weber Crafted Griddle is not seasoning correctly

If you didn’t strip off the old “too much” layer it may flake a bit. But as the others have said, just start using it. I have enjoyed the griddle insert on the Genesis so much, I just leave it in. Once done cooking, I scrape the flattop and remove the grease and caca. I do a really light wipe...

    Vacuum Seal Extra Coffee Beans

At our house, we just get what we need. No frezzing, vac sealing, etc. I buy my coffee (ground) at the Petaluma coffee and Tea Company here in town (~2 miles away). (EDIT: They roast on site.) Best quality coffee I’ve found so far. Typically we get a 1/2 pound of 2 different kinds. After 10...

    Quartz v granite counter tops.

Sorry but I’ll stay with granite. My counters are Red Dragon which is one of the hardest types. After 16 years, still looking and working great. Scrub and seal it bout once a year. Kitchen is small and it’s not a lot of effort.
