Grilled some Loin Chops on the Q2200

Seasoned with a light coating of Canola oil, and burned it in at 600 degrees for 30 minutes. Joe, I am very aware of this, would be nice though if they did. Larry, I did a lot of research on SS grates and seasoning, and from what I read it was recommended to get them good and black with a light...

Grilled some Loin Chops on the Q2200

Bruce, I ordered a 100% 304 SS set like yours from Grillrost.com in Germany to try out on my Q320. Will let you know what I think when it gets here in a week or so. https://www.ebay.com/itm/153289065817

Grilled some Loin Chops on the Q2200

Richard, holding up great!! I do not miss rusty cast iron at all. Great sear marks and low maintenance. One added perk of the SS rod grates is the grill is much lighter for transporting on our many camping trips per year. The Q grills DO NOT need the heavy, rusty, high maintenance cast iron...

Grilled some Loin Chops on the Q2200

Bruce, I always turn my grill off after the cook is done and burn it off and brush it on the warm up for the next cook out just to avoid this.

    Q2000 Propane Regulator

I converted my weed burning torch to 1lb. cylinders several years ago for true portability. It will shoot a flame 10ft at full trigger, I use it to start campfires, it's a true flame thrower now. I fill my own 1lb cylinders also just for this. You need to put them in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours...

Grilled some Loin Chops on the Q2200

Pulled my camping Q2200 out of storage since it got in the low 40's in southern Minnesota today. I can't wait for camping season to start! I cleaned it up a little and seared some Loin Chops at just over 600 degrees for three minutes per side, and a perfect medium 145 degrees.

    Flavorizer bars for Q?

If you want to round up or down to a regular drill bit 1/32 = 0.03125 inches = less BTU closer to 500 degrees # 57 or #58 = 0.0420 inches 3/64 = 0.046875 inches = more BTU closer to 700 degrees

    Flavorizer bars for Q?

Bruce, The Q220 puts out 12,000 BTU, that is a size 60 orifice drill bit, I used a 3/64 drill bit to make it 15,000 BTU and I hit 700 degrees on a hot day, If you want to hit 500 degrees I would say a size 57 or 58. I used a hand drill, and I also opened up the air inlet to the max,

    Flavorizer bars for Q?

I opened up the gas orifice and put a much better adjustable regulator on my Q2200 nine years ago and could not be happier!! I use this grill for searing steaks at 600 degrees on camping trips all summer long, and and can turn it down for low and slow cooking, it has performed flawlessly!! I...
