Not here in the mountains. Also it is very little metal showing. It's only the edges of the metal showing, so the thickness of the metal under the coating along the cut area. Probably could spray with some high temp black to protect it. It was a mod that a lot of people was doing. I...
I have the grommets on mine, but don't use them. I notched a groove at the lip where the lid sits. I find it much easier to move meat and grates around. And i don't have to worry about the lid sitting on the wire.
Hello, hello, wait, hurry up, put him in the bag. Can you hold on. I hear the cops. Hurry. We gotta get outta here. Grab the drugs and let's go. Click.
I laugh, and they don't call back. Just make sure it's not your doctor's office first lmbo.
I have heard of problems at the connection of the probe. Water enters there. I started having problems with my pit probe and replaced it. I think that the meat probes can work for the pit probe also. I have put a meat probe in the wsm rubber grommet and it would show almost the same temp...
I have had the creosote taste/ feel in some of my cooks when I started. I found that they were coming from when my temps would get to high and i would shut down the bottom vents and then the top vent to bring temps down. The shutting of the top vent was causing it for me. I currently use...
I think i have multiple air leaks. It works great with my 22. Setup yesterday to do a chuck roast. Temps were better but about 4 hours in had it shoot up again. Had to add water to get back down and then couldn't get temps up where i wanted. I see smoke coming from a few places and i need...
I have the cyberq wifi with my 22 and like it but the notifications don't work. I really want a controller that can text or email at a set temp. I have been looking into the fireboard controller recently. Lots of times i will do 6 pork butts at a time and the fireboard can handle it. I...
Thanks Lew, that would make sense. I know it does learn and adjust but I thought it was just within the powered up time, restarting the learning each time. I have only tried it with the 14 the one time and I forgot that normally I don't plug in the fan until up to temp, then power down and...
I just received my new 14 Tuesday. I love my cyberq wifi I have used for many years with my 22. I moved it to the 14 AMD closed the vent to almost closed, it still seems to be shooting my temp to high. I set it for 130 and it went to 180. I use no water with the cyber. Kbb and some lump...
I had the same problem with lump. I found it also depends on the lump you buy. I now buy royal oak and I feel the bag to see if it's been banged up into little pieces. I also use kbb around the edges. I get the taste of using the lump and the longevity of the kbb.
I just had to explain to the wife of how many options I was going to have to try :) It will be horrible but I will try each LOL. WNC near hendersonville, south of asheville.
I have no problems with changing temps, i use a cyberq. The butcher had a couple closer to 7lbs, think i will try changing the temp like you suggest. Still smaller than the ones I've been smoking.
Thanks Tim. Not extremely concerned with time but trying to cut down from 16 hours. Also I don't seem to get the amount of smoke to meat that I like after it has been pulled. I am thinking multiple smaller butts would solve that. Also I have a hard time with the 8lbs fitting on the racks and...
I have been smoking bone-in boston butts about 8lbs on my wsm 22. I normally have done 2 at a time and it takes about 16 hours at 225. My question is, would i be better cooking 6lb butts (I'm thinking about 12 hours) and will 4 fit for a total of 24lbs?
