    What is this?

It's a great little beer can chicken stand. It's heavy and sturdy. I put red wine in it when I cook the chicken. The little round piece is used to plug the neck but a slice of onion or potato works better.

New Minneapolis member, grilling in the snow

I've donned my Refrigiwear on several occasions to cook in the winter up here. When I have visited Minnesota in the winter I have found it to be much more bone chillin than where I live in Alaska. Keep warm.

22"Second Gen Ash Sweeper Stuck in place

Adam, I enjoy restoring old, neglected kettles without spending alot of money. I believe the Weber replacement parts are too expensive after paying litttle to nothing for the grills I restore. First, I would use a basic wire grill scraper on the ash sweepers/area and the hardware on the...

    Spatchcock or whole?

What temp for spatchcock? Do you flip it during the cook? Water pan in or out?

    New to cast iron

Brian, I use a 5 qt. Dutch oven for 3-4 people (see photos). I have an 8 qt. Dutch oven for 5 or more people and numerous frying pans. I purchased two very sturdy park grills from a woman with a fishing lodge on the Kenai River who got rid of all her charcoal grills and replaced them with...

    Where did your anywhere go?

Every spring I fish the Denali Highway for Grayling. The mountain was in the clear on the way up and the fishing was great. The RV park is the Cantwell RV park and is a very nice campground. https://www.flickr.com/photos/97609396@N07/albums/72157689453479105

Kevin, Are you cooking on a Weber product? If not, you might want to look for another site since this one is mostly Weber enthusiasts. Is a Vision Classic B a Weber product? Paul

    Fire not getting enough oxygen?

Rayo, I see no one has responded to you. This site is mostly for Weber enthusiasts. Maybe there's a Country Wrangler site out there. Hope you figure out your temperature problem. What's a Country Wrangler? Would Like to see a picture.

    Dirty grills on craigslist

People are lazy with their stuff. I have found at least 50% of my Craigslist finds had charcoal in them. I politely ask for a garbage bag from the seller then leave the charcoal after I put the grill in my truck; I'm not a garbage man.

    Disrespected 18" Brownie

The neglected ones are the best to restore. Great job.

    Rubber gasket on side

The gasket was designed to accommodate the temperature probes, both meat and BBQ. An alternate BBQ probe (besides the thermometer on the lid)can be attached to the grate where the meat is placed. Also, a food probe can be placed directly into the meat. Weber calls it the Silicone Temperature...

    Craigslist Find

Another Craigslist Find This Red Head was in pretty rough shape. The ash system was completely rusted and the screw was locked tight. I had to cut the ash system out. A good working ash system and a clean set of wheels came from a free Craigslist score and Brian's handles finished the...

    Finally smoked my first brisket

Great looking cook. You can toot your own horn all the live long day. It is sort of a let down when you go out to eat and nothing quite compares to your own cooks.

A slow cooked pork shoulder and a quickly cooked Tri-Trip

Nice layout. Great, in depth post. Both meats looked fantastic.
