How often do you clean your flavorizers?

Thanks for the info so far. Good to know I'm not the only annual cleaner. I think I'll clean them in another week to see how it goes. I just want to make sure they are always performing at a high level like they are now.

How often does everyone clean the flavorizer bars in there gas grill? I'm one month into my newly restored 1998 red genesis and couldn't be happier with its performance. I want to maximize my years. I have the awesome stainless bars from RCPlaner on eBay, they rock! I'd like to get some...

    Genesis 3100 restoration project help

    Pam???

If you prefer EVOO then buy a Misto. I use it on all my vegis and sometimes my meat if needed. The Misto is a hand pump spray that you fill with whatever oil you want. Works very well and you can put good quality oil in it.

    Genesis 3100 restoration project help

Thanks for all the tips AJ. Here are a few tear down photos Red Head Restore The inside of the grill box and hood are not as bad as I thought. It's mostly just oxidation and not full blow rust so I should be able to get the inside completely clean (see pics). 2 of the frame pieces have a lot...

    Genesis 3100 restoration project help

I picked this Red Headed Genesis up for $25 on CS this week, click the link for a look. I want to restore it completely and have a few questions. 1. To sandblast or not. I have access to a free sandblast box so I'm considering doing the cook box, the sides of the hood and the OG cast iron grill...
