    Gyros

I've tried for years, but am still trying to find doener kebabs in America. You can't walk 10 feet in Germany without tripping over a doener stand. They are basically gyros, but a little different. In the bigger cities, they seem to be mostly out of turkey.

Tomorrow, were headed to Germany. While I can say that they dont bbq there, I've seen some of the best grilling there. Germany offers an exciting array of cuts of pork there that we dint normally see here. Same goes for beef, but we have better cuts here. Anyway, I'm psyched, and I'll be...

    Coal?

I was getting my propane tank filled yesterday, and I noticed that the place where I got it sold bags of anthracite coal. Has anyone ever cooked with it? Does that even sound like a good idea. When I was a kid, there was a pizza place in Lodi that had a coal fired pizza oven, and the pizza...

    best lump charcoal

I bought two bags of RO recently, and it kind of disappointing. It was mostly really small pieces, and very few decent sized chunks. It seemed to work ok for grilling, but I was still surprised how small the pieces were.
