I'm a little confused here. If the chimney has lighted charcoal in it why would you set it down on anything other than the charcoal grate?

Darn, I should have not bought the Pro Q's and waited for the CB's.

I believe I added a washer a couple of years ago so I now have a washer on each side of the door. Anyway, I used the old nob on the new door and was able to adjust it so that the door is tight but the nob is loose enough to turn. Works great!.

Received the SS door today. It had a protective film covering the outside of it which was easily removed. Re-mounting the knob was a snap and then on it went. It appears to be at least 1" wider than the oem door. It fits great and really looks sharp. It definately defines the word "Quality".
