Why you light it like you do?

I fill it with desired amount of charcoal and dump half starter of coals evenly over bed of charcoal never had an issue and don't have to add charcoal til around 8 hours so don't see any need to do it any different ?

    Why wouldn't you foil?

I'm well aware of how the smoke ring is created and often cook without any wood and still I say it only takes smoke for a while the strongness of the smoke depends on how much smoke you got in that period , and that kind and hoe much wood you used that's my opinion but I'm very young and still...

    Can't Decide: 18.5 or 22.5 WSM

18.5 is what I have at first I wished I would of gotten the 22.5 but now several months later I realize I don't need anymore dang room cause I already cook enough for a whole week and still can't eat it all in one cook! 18.5 is way to to 22.5 eats way more charcoal just due to size I already go...

    Why wouldn't you foil?

That's exactly the kind of response skin looking for but I disagree on your thoughts on it being braising your meat the meat only takes smoke the first couple hours this has been proven time and time again because I get same smoke ring and same smoke taste foiled or un foiled but I get much more...

Been smoking for over 2 years now but only few months with the weber and really wondering why anyone wouldn't foil any decent sized meat after the meat isn't taking any more smoke? I've heard the bark argument but mine turns out great regardless and I think it always turns out better and more...

    Rookie Mistakes....

Wouldn't even consider paying attention to any advice saying not to clean your grill ... About 9.9 out of 10 a friend will invite me for dinner and everything will be charred burnt and totally inconsistent on doneness and every time I've noticed there grill filthy and riddled with fat drippings...
