Damn, I missed it. I've been looking for a second PartyQ.

I'm looking for a DigiQ PartyQ. Could be either the newer units or the older unit. I have an older unit, but I would like to have a second one for the times I use both of my smokers at the same time. Please let me know if you have one you would like to sell.

Great idea. I just gave a friend of mine a mini WSM that I built last summer. He loves it. I have family coming down from Jersey next week, so maybe I'll see if they want it.

I think I'm going to try and sell it local first. I'll let you know if I can't.

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a 14" WSM for $50 at Wally World that had 2 at the time. Well I just went back and I was able to buy the last one for $25. :wsm::cool: So now I have 2 of them. I think I'm going to sell the second one because I don't need 4 smokers. :)

Mine had two at $50.

They had two of them marked down. The only problem is they had them out in the rain and now there is a ring of surface rust where the charcoal grate sits. Plus the heat shield is rusty from sitting in the water. I will try and clean the rust out, but I'm sure Weber will replace them if I can't...

I agree with CaseT. The two I've built have the bottoms cut out.

I have the older unit. I leave the bottom vents closed and let the partyq bring it up to temp. I put whatever I'm smoking on the smoker when the temp hits 200 and then let the smoker come up to my final cooking temp.

I have a PartyQ that I use on my 18.5 WSM. I don't smoke without it. I did the power adapter mod to it so I don't have to mess with batteries.

Chad, the adapter mod cost me less then $3.00 because I had the adapter. All I had to buy was the wood dowel.

I have the same setup as you do. I did the power adapter mod to my PartyQ so I don't have to worry about the batteries going dead. Haven't done a smoke without it in a long time.

Smoked a 14lb Angus Prime Brisket Saturday night. It took about 14.5 hours. Rubbed with salt and pepper, used apple wood and spritzed with white grape and peach juice. Came out great.
