Excellent! I figured ya could as long as they fit ok. Am I really looking at a 16-20 hour cook? That could be a problem as work/sleep may get in the way. I work midnights so I planned on getting the butts started when I get home in the morning, then get some sleep, then I can monitor them...

A foodsaver....are they worth the money??

I was thinking of purchasing one of these and noticed how much the bags for them are. I'm just wondering, do you really save any money by using one? It's not the initial cost(about $100 around here), its the bags. I know many like them cuz' they get all the air out and your product probably...

    cookout with 30-40 people...need advice...

Thanks for the advice. I like the idea of cooking the pork butts in advance. I too want to enjoy myself and not get caught up with too much work. The pork butts and ribs sound like a good combo. Burgers and dogs will also be available for the kiddies. Party is scheduled for August 21st...

Atomic Buffalo Turds (ABT's)...how do you cook them?

I found this recipe for ABT's which is jalapeno's stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. It was on one of the ceramic cooker sites. I'm just wondering how I should cook them. I'm figuring you would have to do them direct(grilled) to get the bacon to crisp up. Anyone ever make these...

Just bought Taylor probe therms', have question

ok....I just found the site I was looking for. According to the site, water should boil at 210* where I'm at. That puts the therms a little closer to accurate I guess..... ron
