    Components In The UK?

I had the same with our Dutch component suppliers, they where more expensive and they could not supply all components. In the end it worked out that ordering in the US was cheaper and less hassle. To save om shipping you could also try to do a group buy like I did, if you order enough you will...

    Thermoworks TX-1001X-OP food probe

Why not cut the plugs from the probes and solder new plugs on with the braid connected to the ground? Yes, this is more work but a lot tidier.

    Second batch of Heatermeters

I test all the probe inputs, the fan output, test the joystick, switch the LEDs on and off, test communication with the RPI, check the web interface, adjust the contrast of the display, etc. Sounds like a lot of work but most things only take a few seconds.

    Thermoworks TX-1001X-OP food probe

Again I am having difficulties getting enough ET73 probes from Maverick. At this point I am so frustrated by them that I'm looking for a different supplier for the 48 probes I need for the heatermeters that i'm building. One of the possible candidates is Thermoworks, the TX-1001X-OP probes are...

    Second batch of Heatermeters

I've only build 30 so far. My son helped me to populate the boards, I solder and supervise. The fasted way is to do one type of components at the time, so first all 10K resitors on all the boards and so on. This also reduces the risk of making mistakes, all 14 boards in this batch tested...

    Second batch of Heatermeters

I had the PCBs made in China, the price is about half of the price of OSH Park but you have to order them in multiples of 10. I like the quality although this time they forgot to print the values of the components, this might be my fault because I edited the eagle files to get rid of the red LED...

    The Development Log

Bryan, Are you planning to release a new revision of the PCB anytime soon? I'm about to order another batch of 20 4.1 PCB's but if you are going to release an improved version in the next few weeks I'll better wait. Anyway, keep up the good work!
