    Costco ceramic cookers?

Probably the Vision ones. I have never seen one, but from what I have read, people seem to like them and the Vision CS is also supposed to be quite good. Then again, I have never seen one.

I should think it's the CB BBQ stacker?

    Ash catcher

Uh-oh, you have been on here too long. You are now infected with KAD (kettle acquisition disorder). No amount of scrubbing can help you now.

Charcoal chefs, do you also use Gas?

If you don't have a gasser already, I would think for $125, a Genesis in good working condition would be an excellent buy. Two of the most frequently worn out parts, have already been replaced.

    Weber 18" Kettle

I assume you mean OTG? I looked at the 2012 Weber catalogue (U.S version have no idea about Canadian) and the OTG came in 22.5 as well as the 18.5. However, now in Canada (at least on the Canadian Weber site) the only OTG is the 26.75, all the rest is the silver versions.

    Is OTG For Me?

^^^^^All of the above. I don't have a SJ, but I do have the 22.5 OTG. The ash catcher is definitely worth the extra investment. I have bought "lesser" things over the years and thought that they will do, but invariably went out and upgraded to what I should have bought in the first place. The...

    Weber Spirit Cover

Actually, I prefer a little on the large size. Makes it much easier to take on/off. It stayed on very well all last winter with 900 mile an hour winds. I'm not sure how small the "small" cover is, but I wouldn't want it much smaller than the medium, at least for the 310, maybe it would fit good...

    Weber Spirit Cover

I have had one of those Veranda (Classic Accessories) covers that HD sells for a year now. It is quite a bit heavier and cheaper (price-wise) than the Weber cover. I have not noticed any "sweating", at least from what I can see. However, I grilled on Monday night and a *&^%$!!!! thunderstorm...

    Considering a Genesis

It would be nice if Weber offered the deflectors (cheap price ;))to those of us with older style (east/west) burners. However, that might open them up for liability issues I guess, more or less admitting a design flaw. I will just have to remember to clean the tray.

    Favorite Store Bought Sauce

Just saw Sweet Baby Rays on sale up here in the Ottawa area. It's going for $2.49 for a 425g bottle (14oz?). I will have to try some.

    Trim Spare Ribs, or Not?

I doubt that you cut the rib bones with the knife, as you would have to be a heck of a lot stronger than me to cut through them (and I do it for a living). It would take practice to get to know where to cut (like cutting through the joint separating the chicken drum from the thigh) you just get...

    Larger Kettle Charcoal basket (pics)

I have a quick question. How did you attach it together, welding or wire? If wire, what kind of wire? I am planning on building a charcoal basket, even though I have never actually seen the Weber baskets but in pictures they look a little small.

2013 Weber Genesis EP 310 or 2013 Weber Spirit 3 Burner

I can't comment on other grills, however, I have a Spirit e-310 (2009 serial number, bought new in 2012) with the east/west burners. It is by far the best grill I have ever owned, but for others maybe not so much so. You probably would be better served with the Genesis and everyone I have come...

Is there a good guide to grilling with charcoal?

I think you will find that the Weber kettle is probably the easiest charoal grill to use in existence (maybe a slight exaggeration?). What with the combined knowledge here and the myriad of websites devoted to outdoor cooking, you will probably be able to start your own show on the Food Channel...

    Burner Stoppage and Cleaning

Just an FYI you can download the manuals direct from Weber: http://help.weber.com/manuals/#serial-number. But you probably already knew that. BTW, how did it go with the burner removal, and did it help? I have the same grill and have copied Curt's instructions to a text file for when I...

    Charcoal Jump?!

Just another "me too" added. I bought my Spirit e-310 last year and it was by far and away the best grill I have ever owned. Then two weeks ago, I bought a 22.5 OTG (was going to get the silver, but changed my mind and got the gold). Now I have only used the Spirit once in the last two weeks and...

    New Performer Platinum Arrived Today

When I got my OTG, I found the ash catcher out of aline as well. However, after using it a few times and getting down on all fours to see how the thing actually attaches, it goes in much better. I am quite happy that I returned the silver for the gold as I think I am much happier with the...

    Need An Opinion...Kettle Bowl Damage

If this is indeed a common occurance, all because of banking hot coals in direct contact with the side of the bowl, then I would expect Weber to honour the warranty as this appears to be a glaring deficency. So far, Weber has replaced the bowl but I should think that at some point they may bawk...

    No more 22.5 OTG?

Ok, I think I've finally figured out what's going on. On the Weber U.S. site, the 22.5 OTG is listed, along with the silver. On the International Canadian site, only the 26.75 OTG is listed as a gold all others are silver, so it would appear that at least in Canada, no more 22.5 OTG (at least on...
