Hmm, try setting it up again. You might have had some thing corrupted in your saved data. When I set mine up it Lund my network and all I did was enter password. I am almost certain I didn't touch any other settings.

I use mine on an all apple network. Base station and 2 express extenders. Works great. I didn't touch any settings on the stoker except adding my password. Did you do the initial setup with a cable?

I think they are both on/off. The cycle time gets pretty busy as you come up on temp. 2sec on, 3 sec off kinda thing, but I didn't have any more than a 2-3 deg overshoot even after a 21 hour cook.

Also, with some limitations, stoker has made all upgrades available to end users to flash the units to the newest software. Obviously a pre wifi unit doesn't have the hardware for wifi, but the other upgraded functions still work.

The original MBP and iMacs that were intel are core duo and can't run 64 bit OS. They actually can't run Lion at all as it requires core 2 duo at a minimum.

I just tried Stoker X this past weekend. Works awesome. I didn't figure out the trick about a master control until the cook was almost over. So I had Stoker X and Stoker log duking it out all night. I will try the email and twitter stuff on my next cook. William
