    Prime CenTex Brisket

Great brisket. Care to name that town that has an HEB with USDA Prime brisket? And where on Earth did you get all those kettles. There must be a warp in the time space continuum in Fort Worth!

Where do you guys store all your accessories?

I bought a plastic tool box about 10" front to back, 9" high, and 22" wide. It contains a slew of small things and includes tongs, rubber gloves (thin for prep and thermal for handling hot stuff), thermometers, cooking twine, skewers, et al. It is not large enough to hold my pizza stone, or...

    Maverick ET-733 Display

Sounds like a very good reason to call customer service, especially since changing batteries didn't solve the problem.

    Bourbon/whiskey drinkers *****

I gave up bourbon some years ago. Scotch whisky is now my drink of choice . . . namely this one: Can anyone tell me why I'm getting the IMG tags displaying? I use the icon provided and just paste in my photobucket URL. I've noticed that I'm not alone in having this problem. Chris?

Just Took Delivery on a New Lodge 10" Cast Iron Griddle - Now What?

The postman arrived with the package containing the Lodge griddle I ordered several days ago. I read the label which says to wash it in hot water and not to use harsh detergents and that it is not dishwasher safe. The label says, after drying it thoroughly, rub it lightly with vegetable oil...

What kind of cookware would you recommend?

Being uncertain what you are looking for, I looked at this as if I were giving it to my daughter to set up housekeeping (In fact I did just that some years ago). Here is what I'd buy for her (and I recommend it to you):[/URL][/IMG] After we bought a house with a ceramic surface range, we found...

    My First ABT's!

I second Matt's statement about the kettle. I've done many on mine. But, gonna be the odd man out on preparation. I like the taste of jalapeños; so I take off the stem cap and scrape out the seeds and ribs. I then stuff the pepper with a mixture of cream cheese, sour cream (or plain yogurt)...

Best enameled cast iron dutch oven?

Being a bottom feeder - and a retiree - I cannot bring myself to spend for the Le Creuset (although I probably would if a) I were still working; b) I were younger. Lodge was also a bit too expensive for me. One day in my local (Texas) supermarket (HEB), I found a rack of enameled CI 4-qt dutch...

How Do You Stuff Your ABTs?

When I first started making them, I sliced the jalapeños lengthwise so I got 2 per pepper. I soon discovered that I liked more pepper; so I started taking off the caps and boring out the seeds and ribs. I bought a device to hold them upright on the grill for cooking. The only thing I haven't...
