    What year is this Summit?

Weber here will only sell you an entire manifold, not just the orifices. (Actually, here in our Nanny State they will insist that one of their dealers does the conversion, they will not supply to you direct). I have seen some part kits on e-replacment parts with just the orifices, but not for...

    What year is this Summit?

Nice score. Just change the 4 'spuds' on the main burners, and the one on the side burner, an LP regulator from the line on your LP gas bottle, and you should be good to go. http://www.grill-repair.com/weber313orifice.html

What part do I need to replace on my Genesis Gold?

I understand your lid shroud ia a inner lining to protect your SS external lid from discolouring when directly exposed to high heat. It does not appear to be available as a seperate part, you have to buy the entire lid assembly. (Part No.60466, $254.45) I also suspect the inner shroud and the...

    Filthy, dirty, G1K

I have a theory that the reason you can pick up such quality weber gassers at low prices is that some people at about the 10+ year mark, decide that it is 'easier' to not have to clean, get rid of the old, and buy a new Weber. So we end up with somebodies greasy disgusting mess for a good...

Weber Genesis 5000 NG, not a Skyline I think. (They have Skyline logo on the hood??) Top of the range in its day.Great restore project, and still has the removable metal side table I see.

    Genesis 1000-5000 series differences

The 5500 was just a 5000 with a 'Perma-Mount' plinth instead of wheels.

    New Way to do Pizza

Clever. I have a Summit Silver C NG at home and a Summit Silver C Propane at my father-in-laws. (both at sea level) The propane does run somewhat hotter, and does a better cook on the top of the pizzas, using the same cooking method (cast iron griddle elevated on upturned charcoal holders)

My 1st Craigslist Find Summit Silver For Free

OK, the hood liner appears to be some sort of steel (a magnet sticks to it quite well). A magnet will not stick to the Al end caps, nor the SS outer hood.

My 1st Craigslist Find Summit Silver For Free

The next series of Summits, the revised 400/600s introduced in 2007 and still current have 'E' versions with the black porcelain lids and cupboards doors. If you actually managed to strip the enamel back to the metal below of a lid, (which should be steel, not Al as I understand it), that's a...
