    Roadside Chicken

Tried it again with boneless skinless breasts. Marinated for about 4 hours and then added half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to kick up the heat and it was AWESOME! I just wish I could figure out a way to "frontload" the cayenne heat instead of having it on the back end, if you know what I mean..

    Crispy Breaded Grilled Wings

Those look absolutely amazing! I've got a big ole pack of split breasts in the freezer waiting for a nice recipe, think I'd need to modify anything ? I'll probably do it on the WSM.

    Roadside Chicken

With all of the rave reviews and the length of this thread, I figured I would be doing myself a great disservice if I didn't try this out ASAP.. Well, I'm glad I did, because it was awesome ! The flavor was outstanding ! Here's what I did.. -5 leg/thigh quarters, then 4 individual thighs and 5...

Registering @ Weber: Where to find Serial Number on Performer

Checked the sticker, it was just stamped on the bottom near the access panel. Not even sure if its the right number, but it's the only series of numbers anywhere on the grill... However, I tried to input it on Weber's website and it gave me a systems error. Perhaps it was already registered ...

    Never Used Performer....from Craigslist

That's probably an awesome deal. I just paid $200 for used newer Performer thats been used only a couple times. Mine came with the cover though, a couple extra grates, some utensils, some propane bottles and cleaning supplies. You got a great deal!

Registering @ Weber: Where to find Serial Number on Performer

I see it's got DO stamped on the vent.. Unfortunately, that isn't enough to register the grill at Weber's websites. You need the exact number. I guess I'm out of luck for warranty service ?

Registering @ Weber: Where to find Serial Number on Performer

So they lady I bought my Performer from did not have the warranty card, just the user manual. I want to go ahead and register my grill because I just noticed the tiniest bit of rust around the handle of the kettle and one of the lid spindles is missing. Any idea where I can find it ?

Used Performer: Will it fit in my car ?

So I brought her home! It fit in the back of the station wagon with some handy maneuvering! So I think I got a pretty decent deal... For $200 bucks I got the performer (claims to have been used only a few times, it looks like new), 3 weber style utensils, the weber performer cover, a full bag...

Used Performer: Will it fit in my car ?

Hey everyone, just found a great deal on a used performer but I'm not sure if it'll fit ! I've got an 08 Honda Civic Sedan.. The performer is fully assembled... I suppose, if I had to, use my wifes VW Jetta station wagon, but I'd rather not swap cars for the day.

What is everyone smoking for Super bowl ?

Hey ya'll, what is everyone going to be smoking for the Super Bowl ? I'm thinking about doing ribs, because I start them at noon and have them ready for kick-off, but I was leaning towards maybe butt/brisket. Whats everyones thoughts ?

What I learned about Pork Butts this Weekend.

I too get inaccuracies with the ET-73... Recently a brisket was at the plateau and started to lose temperature according to the 73.. I just repositioned the food thermo and got a different reading... Now if I could only get the damn thing to work more than 20 feet away without line of sight...

    Purchasing a Side of Beef

Recently, I've been looking into purchasing bulk quantities of meat. Especially now that I've really gotten into using my WSM almost every weekend. I find it very tough to find a good cut of meat in my area (North of Baltimore). Local supermarkets are pretty crappy. Anyways... If you were to...

    Savory Brisket Dry Rub

Same here... I just tried this rub on my first brisket and it was out of this world! The rub smells very oniony at first and when you rub it into the meat, but when its done it leaves a very tasty crust, not overpowering with the onion. I added a little tiny kick of cayenne for the slightest bit...

    flower pot bottoms

I did my first clay pot smoke last weekend with some nice baby backs. Temps came up very quick, however I found it was VERY easy to stabilize temperatures. The temps responded very quickly to adjustments in the airflow. Since I wasn't going to be heating up any water, I also used less charcoal...

    Maverick et-73 mod

Just a quick update to this thread... I just purchased an ET73 thru Amazon about two weeks ago. Noticed I got poor reception even in Line of Sight. Cracked it open and no antenna! After reading all 11 pages I will try the wire mod, but I do not have a soldering iron. I might just try the old...

    Maryland Pit Beef

I'll second that on Andy Nelson's BBQ. Probably one of the best BBQ joints in Maryland. Lucky for me, its 10 min. from my house!
