Helping my in-laws, is there a fix for...

...when your gas grill is constantly blowing out from the wind? Have any of you come up with a clever solution? My FIL has a Weber Genesis redhead that doesn't have much protection from the elements, namely wind. He does lots of long roasting on his grill and lately feels like he has to babysit...

    WTB: Genesis Silver C items

Money is out in the mail, SOLD! :-) I like the idea of them, but I seldom use them.

    WTB: Genesis Silver C items

For those curious, I'm contemplating deleting the side burner for the right-side thermoset table

    WTB: Genesis Silver C items

I'm going to swap the whole thing in. I don't have a need for my side burner. I may at some point put these valves in my manifold but not just yet

    WTB: Genesis Silver C items

I'll take both! Price to 19030? Don't need the quick disconnect if you'd like to keep it. Can PM me details as well, thanks!

    WTB: Genesis Silver C items

Almost positive both will work, anxious to see pics :) regarding the manifold, as long as it turns well with a knob I'm interested. If it's stuck on any of the three burners I'll pass

    Bought some new upgrades :)

I was able to snag some good items on eBay today! Won a set of Weber authentic SS burner tubes for $20.95 and a set of SS flavorizer bars for $34. The bars aren't authentic, but they have excellent reviews and are 20ga. SS. I plan on wire-brushing the entire firebox and installing these parts...

    Which to keep?

Just wanted to chime in since it's relevant that my Silver C has the occasional flare-up issues and you have to really stay on top of it. I'm told Silver B/C are notorious for this and get very hot, very fast. Not sure if design-flaw or what. My FIL has a 90's Genesis redhead 3-burner with...

    Leaky valve/regulator

Do you know a good place to find rebuilt ones? Do you have any for sale? I totally agree with you and I've taken it apart since and checked it and it looks good to me. Sits flush on top too. All together very strange. I will be taking your advise and looking for a working replacement. eBay...

Is it normal for burner tubes to move?

It is on my Silver C. Maybe not 1/4" but noticable play

    Leaky valve/regulator

Its not put together wrong, it's just not a 100% seal anymore. I put liquid nails on it today (silicone compound) Should fix it...gonna test it tomorrow

    Leaky valve/regulator

Does anyone know a good sealant you can use on a gas grill regulator/valve? After greasing mine and putting back together, the top cap (while very secure and tight) has a slight leak to it that catches fire and burns my control panel. Can I put some kind of silicone sealer or locktite on it to...

    Cleaning the firebox

Thanks Tim! My wife recommended oven cleaner too, but I wasn't sure if that would be too harsh. I think I'll do EXACTLY as you said ;) Time to scrape today and enjoy a Blue Moon!

    Cleaning the firebox

I have power-washing as an option, but ideally I'd like to clean out my box via another means. Once I have my box completely empty and all chips/debris cleared, is there a good chemical I can spray to eat away at all of the remaining carbon/grease/etc? I'd like to spray it with something...

Maple Sugar & Black Pepper Bacon

Looks delicious, well done! How well did the maple sugar taste come through?

    New member, some questions :)

Thanks everyone! I buttoned it up and the hardest part was finding a replacement spring that wasn't packed with tension (one of my springs fell apart when I pulled it out). While all my knobs turn like new now, I had a few flare-ups from excess grease. My advice, make sure you wipe your valves...
