LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

If you plug it in to your laptop, you should be able to access it on 192.168.200.1, although you will probably need to keep Wifi on your laptop off to access it. (To be fair though, I still don't understand why you weren't able to connect with your laptop in the first place, so it may not work...

At first it was sensitive to probe dropouts for me, but now, I can't get it to recognize them at all. > I really don't know what to do because all my connections seems to be fine.

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

Yes. You have to give the WRT time to fully boot when you plug it in first, but that should work.

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

To answer my own questions: The board is built right. I do not need to hook up a ground to the power header. The file is heatermeater.cpp.hex Also, note to self: check the backlight level before you assume the LCD is not working. All is good so far. Next to wire up a sensor or two.

Question: I installed The atmega I installed came preloaded with optiboot on it. How can I tell if I built the board right? I've got it installed on the router board, should I just attempt to do an avrupdate through the router like in the wiki? Also, in all the picture I see, it looks like...

    Tweak The Jerky?

Curing is straight-up not necessary for me. This stuff gets eaten within a day of being dried. 3 pounds, gone in 24 hours. I'd like to claim that it's a group effort, but It's pretty much all me doing the eating.

    Tweak The Jerky?

Hey- I've been playing with jerky recipes trying to find something that matches these criteria: - Mexican(ish) - No soy sauce - No worchestershire I've made this one a couple of times now, it's good, but it's just not awesome. 1 Tbsp Salt 3 Tbsp Chili 1 Tbsp onion powder 1 Tbsp White pepper...

One more question in addition to the last: which components can I leave off if I'm not doing the wireless probes? Also, I don't need the barrel power connector if I'm doing a Linkmeter setup, right? Thanks

I'm about to place orders for parts. I got most of the backordered parts through digikey, but I want to make sure that this replacement 2.5mm jack is going to be okay. Can somebody check it out and make sure I'm not ordering garbage? http://www.mouser.com/ProductD...bRE16wt1a7vsBw%3d%3d...

    Lawry's Creamed Corn

I've made this a few times now, but add a bit more seasoned salt. My family loves it.

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 1

Looking forward to this. I was about to bite the bullet and try to build it on perf-board, but if a PCB is potentially only a couple weeks away, I think I can wait. Does the LinkMeter have a JSON or XML feed of the data for easy manipulation outside of the built-in pages?
