    5# tank help

Just use it as is for now and change the tank/hose when you have time. You don't need the gas assist to use the grill. I have the 5# tank and have refillled it only one time a few years ago. Not sure of the cost but I think it was $10.00. MikeZ

Just took delivery of my pit mider

I had one for a few years and was very happy with it. Just start your fire with the MM and let the Pitminder do the rest. I don't use water in the pan. I rolled then unrolled 5 foil sheets for the pan then a sheet over the top to catch the drippings. MikeZ

    Stainless Steel Grates

I just purchased a stainless steel 22-1/2" grate from Weber. Has anyone else bought one? How do you like it? How is it for clean-up? MikeZ

    Charcoal shaker mod

I use lump also. I have double grates (added the grate from an 18-1/2 kettle) on the bottom so the small lump pieces don't fall thru. It may work with both? MikeZ

    DigiQ II

I really can't say enough about the quality customer service I've received from the BBQ Guru people. I have (2) Digi-Q II's and just recently sold my Pitminder to someone on this forum. They have always been very helpful. I really don't think that this forum should be used to bash suppliers. MikeZ

The butt will have plenty of fat in it. I ate at a place in Ayden, NC a few times that uses the whole hog for their Q and really couldn't tast much difference. OMHO

Who uses the Guru 12V adapter?

My setup is the same as BryanS. I bought the car jumper from K-Mart. It has two 12V plug-ins on top. I run two DigiQ-II's at the same time. I bought the plugs from the BBQ Guru people. They are real helpful if you have any questions. MikeZ

Weber Handles mod. Why not? (photos)

Brandon, I think that they will just stop at 90 when you want to lift the center section or maybe have some resistance built in so they stay up when you want them up. Right now mine are on with wing nuts. MikeZ

Weber Handles mod. Why not? (photos)

I did the same mod. I ended up making the handles removable so I can get the cover on. I'm going to work on new brackets that will hinge up for use and down for the cover. MikeZ

    Transporting WSM?

I forgot! I put duct tape to make sure the doors don't fall off. MikeZ
