Im going to do my first high heat brisket this weekend. What rub recipe should I use? I will probably make the No. 5 sauce with a little honey to go with it.

Im going to do some canning later this fall. Do you think this sauce will lend itself to that or will it be fine just put up in jars?

I am on the brink(today)of ordering a Thermapen. I have not heard any bad stuff until now. Has anyone else had any problems? I hate to spend those kind of $$ on something that may cause problems because there are other grill toys I've got my eye on also.
