WSM Smoke Day Germany (Upper Franconia)

Hi friends, I’m about to smoke some Ribs. Should have been St. Cut but ... Now it’s how it is. The Rub is a self made MagicDust and for the glace I’ll use a self made sauce called “6 Street Red’N wet” Temp constant as yet 234°F. Wood is Hickory (Weber chunks) Here you can find pics (progress...

Lady in red. 21 years old (refurbished)

Hi Mike, never heard of that. What is an old kettle? Is from 1996 old or are all red ones "toxic"? I hope that all the toxic **** is steamed away after more than 20 years of use. Are there more info about that fact available? Thanks a lot for your reply.

Lady in red. 21 years old (refurbished)

Hi Felix, The triangle is chrome so I used this kind of pad. (sorry I don't know the English word for it even not the German :-) ) and NevrDull for the finish. For the aluminum leg I only used the famous NevrDull

Lady in red. 21 years old (refurbished)

Haha... cool also an UNIMOG Fan in USA! I love my Mog! The red painting is pretty magic. Very cool stuff. All kettles should be red :-) Some weeks ago I got a green Weber 22.5 from US. It's nearly UNIMOG green! In Germany we just have black and grey kettles available.

Lady in red. 21 years old (refurbished)

Hi, I was looking for a red Weber kettle since nearly 15 years to bring the good, old times back on my mind as I learned how to BBQ. My dad had one in the late 80s but it somehow got lost. :redmastertouch: 4 days ago I found one on eBay. Conditions were nearly ok. The kettle was uses as...

    Throwdown #23: Baby Back Ribs

Hi All, Ok BabyBack Ribs …. here we go! I rubed the ribs the day before and stored them over night wrapped with foil in the fridge. The rub itself is a MagicDust (self-made) and on top a thin layer brown sugar. The method was a 3-1.5-1 The second step is wrapped in foil with some apple...

    Throwdown #22: Tailgate Party

Hi All, tada ... here is part two. "The main dish" (call it bacon-bomb) The original recipe is from Taural Rhoden. I would call him an ambassador for original US BBQ here in Germany. You can simply prepare the bacon bomb(s) the day before the party and store it in the fridge. The ground meat...

    Throwdown #22: Tailgate Party

Hi All, as you can see I am from Germany. Tailgate partys are forbidden in Germany but we can make small street-partys. The kind of preparing and serving dishes appears to be similar in some cases. So this is part one. My "Give-Away-Burger" Intention: Keep it simple but delicious The ground...

    Throwdown #22: Tailgate Party

Hey Peter, I guess you mean the Oktoberfest in Munich. Min. 16 days, sometimes up to 18 days. :-) But yes, you are right! We are unfortunately not allowed to make tgps. I wager it has something to do with fire protection, and serving food to the public. Would be nice to have similar stuff...

    Throwdown #22: Tailgate Party

Hi All, I'd like to participate also in this throwdown but due to the fact that tailgate parties are strictly forbidden in Germany I need to ask some questions. I found this funny HowTo: http://www.wikihow.com/Throw-a-Tailgate-Party At first I'd like to know if I can prepare and cook the...
