    Plowboys closing their barbecue chain

I was sad to see this today. Hopefully another BBQ joint will take over the Blue Springs location. There's not much out that way besides Zarda, which I am not much a fan of.

    Genesis 670000?

    That is a 900. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/188838/Weber-900-Lp.html

Bringing New Life to an Old "Platypus"

Excellent work, Jon. One of a kind, and a total eye catcher.

Has Weber outsourced its customer support?

I got the same bit of info a couple of years ago. During a call w/ a rather chatty and generous CS rep, she said that they do have outside help occasionally.

    Summit ID please

Bruce, I have redone a few of those now. Holler if you have any concerns.

    Weber Genesis E330 Refurb

The bottom edge of the cook box should be uniform all the way around. I have come across a couple that were so bad, you couldn't even remove the grease tray.

    Weber Genesis E330 Refurb

Is your cook box melted or warped at all? Typical if it had a significant grease fire.

Weber Genesis 310/320/330 LP to NG Conversion Kit $25

Selling a conversion kit for the Genesis 330. This includes all 5 orifices. However, if you have a 310 or 320, this kit will still work, as you will only need the 3 main, plus one if you have a side or sear burner. Also includes the proper sized nut drivers and the hose adapter. The LP...

Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

The knobs were grey. Soak oven night in Dawn and then hit them w/ a scrub brush. Some of that simply may not come out though.

Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

I'm of the opinion that every homeowner should have at least one old Weber to grill on at least once or twice a year to get that good old charcoal grilled tasting food that is impossible to get on a gasser. Some here will dispute that, especially if they simply hate the taste, so I would...

    Genesis ... Old Meets New

Call IPE for specific quotes ... but generally $200 or thereabouts. I am fortunate that it's close to my work so I don't have shipping issues to deal with.

Wife says its a problem! I refer to it as ambitious Weber preservation!

Early signs of Weberitis. It may be too late already. Dr's, masking and vaccines won't help at this point, nor will a nagging wife. Might as well make the best of it. Market Place, Craigslist and the occasional curbside pickup are your only temporary fix. Rest easy though, you are amongst...

    Weber Limited gasser?

Very cool. I'd like to get my hands on one of those badges.

Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

Cassondra, welcome to the board. A good cleaning, a few hours of your time, and about $250 will have your 310 good to go for another 10 years. Igniter, and all stainless steel flavorizers, heat deflectors and cooking grates are available on Amazon. If I were you, I would likely go ahead and...

SSP Ash Catcher Assembly Info Needed

Does anyone know what the model # is for this old style ash catcher assembly? These were available on the SSP and the Master Touch. I need the model # and would also like to know if they are obsolete or still available. Thanks in advance.

BBQ prep cart from grill frame?

That's a great looking cart. I have to ask though ... what are you putting the blue lid on that is better than leaving it on the Gold B? It would have surely made a beautiful and profitable resto.

A ridiculously overpriced Peformer .... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/8421739347843516/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Aa00c5a1f-edc9-4a00-8cee-88f0d9057fdf but at least it "comes from a smoke free home." :D

Genesis II E-315 (Cabinet Doors Model) Oddities?

The cook box has definitely overheated and melted. Most likely from a grease fire. Trim off enough of the edge with a cut off wheel to allow you to slide the tray in and out to make it serviceable again. Replace with a new firebox for best results though. Can you not simply unscrew and pop...
