I worked in aviation for 46 years and we use both copper and silver types on steel,aluminum, cast parts, on Jet Engines ,gearboxes you name it. The manufacture states which type to use on their equipment.
O have a 2004 Silver C and I refilled my bottle two years ago. Now I refill the bottle on my performer every 9 months or so. I buy my charcoal on yhe big season sales that are not so big anymore. And stack those up, try to keep 6 to 10 bags on hand. So like I said I bought all my grills smoker...
One more item that could see as a easy fix height raise the table, kettle height up. We should all put in a input as to how tall 38, inches or whatever say Kitchen Counter height?

I like the ideas you all are putting forward. the SS table as in Gen 1 is perfect, the slide out table would come in handing as it does on my Silver C, having a rack to hold spices and such would be nice, the trash can is OK but i would rather see something like stacked drawers to hold wood...
I do not care, my home cooks are still 50 - 60 % cheaper than eating out plus i control the things that go into each bite. Plus with a performer (or two) i can do about every kind of cook required with out having so many grills. Plus every grill i have i have refurbish from CL or FB market place...
I have a older Silver C and the plastic tables stain so easy, and I saw someone else use this to cover.them so for 7 bucks why not.

Amen Joe i did another this weekend and I came pretty darn good, the top one in the photo i was asked to cook that for a guya and it had a large bone in it he got it from a 1/3 cow he bought had no idea what cut it was. But it came out real juicy
Great finds, and turn around, it is just me but i always update the lid bale to the newer year type that let's the lid stand up vertical, I beleive it was updated in the 2014-15 years. Other than that just a good cleaning a good for for it.
