    Weber Parts Deals

Unless it is tough to ensure solid welds, I am surprised we don't see more of these beefy grates without the center rod. After all, it would save them a few more bucks per set.

LOL, yah, he was lucky to be 12" long. I agree Cody, we are moving past the prime time for flipping rehabs. Fathers day should peak some action, but after that, most people that are going to buy a "new" grill, already have. But, you will still get sales. Just a little lower price and...

That is what I have heard. However, this little fella would have less meat than a young chicken wing.

Cody, no I don't have a buyer lined up on this one. What do you mean by original cast pieces? The cook box will be original but the end caps will be the same style, but from a different grill. I didn't have the end caps removed from the lid when I took the cook box to the blaster. I assume...

    Genesis 4/5 Restore

Just a couple progress photos. I finally got the frame and cabinet pieces cleaned up and painted. I also painted the Z bars and shelf hardware and got them all assembled. Next big step is the lid and waiting on the blaster to get my cook box done. Oh, and I had some company while...

I finally got to the lid today. I got the screws out of the end caps but could not figure out when I still couldn't get the end caps off the lid. I guess the PO wanted to seal it up air tight. Sheesh. I though I was going to shatter the porcelain trying to get them off.

I am converting from NG to LP and I have to swap over the flame check valve to the LP manifold as well as replace the thermocouple on it.

Once I get thermocouple replaced as well as swapping over everything to the new manifold, I will try it out. If it still doesn't work, I will get with you for some more guidance on the valve.

    Curb Alert !!!

I can't even tell what brand this grill is, but it looks well built. https://www.facebook.com/share/16e2br8cTi/

Genesis II S-435 Propane to NG

@LMichaels has some pretty good knowledge on the gas conversion process along with knowledge on the various NG pressures and what is necessary for running a grill. You can PM him or likely he will see this thread and chime in later today.

SPecs seem to match up perfectly. I guess that Weber used a standard off the shelf option for this. YAHHH thanks Larry. On order.

    Genesis 4/5 Restore

Thanks guys. I think I will try to find one that is close to the factory one and make it fit. Actually, the one that you linked, Larry, looks almost perfect. I have to caliper the parts to see if they are the same though.

On a side note, what do you guys do about a non-functioning Flame Check? Can you buy a replacement Thermistor? Or is the best option just to disable it. I would really like to keep this project fully functioning as it was designed, but I am sure you can't even get a replacement from Weber any...

No way Samuel. Find a donor grill. They are a dime a dozen.

OK, I made some progress today. I got a lot of the grill parts repainted and I am hoping to start putting the wood slats on the Zbars and then installing the cabinet panels back into the grill. Hopefully I will have some photos to post tomorrow as proof that I am actually working on it.

Yep Cody, much of the time you just can't tell until you get it home and clean off the lid a bit.

Larry, that is the regular stuff. You want the high heat version. Rated for a full 105 degrees.
