Old Weber Grill - Any idea?

Yeah...Smokey Joe never had legs sockets. The brown one pictured just has the leg wires go through the bowl and are held on by wing nuts (like all Smokeys) inside the bowl. Its a neat design, but not very strong or as sturdy as a new style Smokey.

    Picked Up A Imperial Sequoia

ok...these pics aren't the best, but on short notice, I think you can sort of see how it works. You can kinda see in the last pic how the lid handle rests on the holder of the side of the cart. Then the lid almost half tucks under the open area of the cart itself

The lid handle rests on that hook on the side. Its the opposite side that has the 2 towel holders.

What did I buy for 10 bucks?

Hey there Mike...chimming in a bit late here, but for 10 bucks, the grill doesn't look bad at all. And yes, Weber DID make whats called a One Touch Plus which is what you have. The only difference between yours and a Mastertouch was yours doesn't have the enclosed ash catcher, but just the...

General Tips on Shipping a Kettle

Mike...Ive shipped out several 22 "kettles before and your pricing seems about right provided you dont use some box that REALLY oversized. An original Weber box would be great, but Ive found most stores that display Weber grills also crush the boxes right away that the grill came in. You can...

    Timber Handle Stain

Joel...there have been a lot of variances in color to the stains on the wood handles. Many of the older grill (60-70's) used a very dark brown. They seemed to have gotten lighter as time goes on. I would just say pick a color that looks close and that you like.

    SJS.s difference's

Ive never built one...I think many others here would have a much more expert opinion than I would...but I can certainly show you any picture of the bowl of any Smokey ever made if you want.

    SJS.s difference's

Ive forgot about the Galley Que legs. Yeah, I have all those you mentioned Lawrence. I've got this stupid thing going on right now called work, but when I get home later, I'll put some stuff together.

    SJS.s difference's

I can provide you with more than 3 styles if you want on the Smokies...also the Smokey Joe Platinum or Jumbo Joe. What diff's are you looking for? Just the leg assemblies? The SJS has the dish on the bottom. The SJG has the bail that goes over the handle. What other kind are you thinking? The...
