Yes, I just download and print the manuals. I bought a bunch of 9x12 clear packs that seal like ZipLocs to put them in. I think it adds another "like new" touch to selling a refurbished older grill.

Other than the Skyline version, to me the only potentially re-saleable 2-burners are the very late Silver A with the cabinet doors and thermoset swing table. They look enough like a three burner Silver B to possibly command a little more respect from flip buyers.

Looks really good. I used to like the newer "flower" or snowflake design, but now not as much. Those look stunning, Cody! I did pretty much the same treatment you used on my 1st generation Summit wheels. After two years outside, they are still holding up quite well.

I have one new one of those in my stash! They aren't always easy to come by.

If the x000 ones like Mark bought were $40 with the drip tray, bracket and pans, I would likely buy 4 or 5. The price for the x000 GrillParts.com one - with no extras - is pushing it to me other than for a "keeper". I guess one of my first projects after tax season is to get out all of my x000...

I am a fan of old American Motors cars - yeah even the Gremlin and Pacer! I would LOVE to have that thing. Believe it or not, the values of Gremlins and Pacers - that are still left -are on the upswing.

I previously almost never use tongs except an earlier Weber set that was a little more like a double spatula. More recently, though, I finally see the benefit of using actual tongs. I still flip burgers and some other stuff with a spatula. For me the fork is what goes unused. Looks cool, though!

Oh well, so Weber did not reuse the old Summit/"fat frame" Genesis Platinum size insert. The old ones are really hard to find. I would think the Genesis II ones would be easy (not cheap :rolleyes: ) to obtain.

I am thinking that would work, but I don't have time to measure one of my fat frames right now. Maybe tonight or over the weekend. That generation Platinum inserts are also identical to the ones on the first-generation Summit as Larry mentioned.

I wouldn't consider getting to 600 faster the only gauge of a grill's effectiveness, but I also think that a lot of us here - self included - tend to discount the new Webers because they aren't built to last two decades like our old Gennys - or forever like your SnapOn Beast! When in good...
