    You'll find that isn't neccessary with a Wsm. You want lit coals on top. Not a full light from the bottom. You'll love your smokey mountain when you get it.

    I've used mine when needed as well. I hate hearing the sound of the motor strain. If it's that off balance, you will actually get a "stall" at bottom dead center. After a couple hour spin, there's is significant more fire time to the heavy side of the spit. Uneven cooking. Imo

    Been a while since I posted so I'm trying something new. Have never done pulled beef. So I got a five pound chuck shoulder. Here it goes. And rubbed. With this. Half Stubbs, half KBB. Mesquite and hickory chunks. Minion starter. And smoke is a risin! More to come soon...

    Back at it again, so here it is. My version of an air burner/pit controller intake/blah blah blah... Hole in the bottom for a 1" pipe nipple(giggitty) Through the bottom and the heat shield. With elbow and factory barbed end fitting. There should be no heat issues w the plastic fitting...
