    What to charge?

    I've never cooked for other's parties, just my own. But I'd just tell her "buy my beer and it's all good". I'd guess they'd at least buy you beer and offer the fuel and wood cost....It's up to you whether you accept it or not.

    That's sort of what I've ran into Shilo. Although I've never done one on the WSM, I've done birds on the kettle and others on a cheap-o smoker, also was in a rut frying them for a few years. Everyone loves the smoked or grilled birds much more than baked or fried.

    How long did your 15lb bird take at 325? I'm doing a 14lb'r this weekend. Although I think I can get my temps way up there since they are forecasting a high of 99 Saturday. Nice!

    I'll give ya an update for sure. I plan to cook it eitehr Fri eve or Sat morn, depending on what time I can get off Fri.

    OK guys. Thank you very much. I was 50/50 on throwing it away. You convinced me, I'm sticking it in the meat keeper now...Planning on smokin' it either Friday afternoon or Saturday. Thanks again, I knew where to come for the quick and accurate opinions.

    Frozen Turkey Freshness ??

    I purchased an extra turkey for T-day last November. It's been in the freezer in the original shrink type wrap ever since. The tag on it is dated 10/20. What is your opinion, should I try to smoke it, throw it away or try to give it to someone with dogs??

    Don't know if anyone on here has tried this before, but I've been thinking seriously about smoking some cheese. With the temps here in June/July, there's no way I could keep the WSM down in the range needed. A co-worker of mine suggested adding ice to the water pan. I thought this was a great...
