    Unfortunately, tragedy strikes again. This was a local landmark. Pit was built in the 50(s). They’d open until they sold out which was a few hours usually.

    This year I began sending my homebrew off to competitions to get anonymous feedback on my ability to brew. I mean, it’s great when your family and friends like your projects, but what about someone who doesn’t care about your feelings. I plan to do more of this in 2025. This is the 2024 result:

    Does anyone use an induction burner?

    I have used induction for a while now in my brewery. The brewery is in the laundry room because I have access to 220v, a sink, and water there. There was not access to a heat source. The only thing is to ensure the pots/pans you will use are conductive. If they’re not they won’t work and IMO...

    @Jim Lampe posted some pork steaks which reminded me I haven’t had them in a while. I couldn’t find pork steak so I improvised w/pork loin chops.
