Good question, since there is a post of one person getting the model with the grommet, I'd say it is more a matter of buying from a high volume dealer. I'm in the same boat and would love to get a UPC or something so I can tell for sure the one I buy soon is the 2014 model.- Al_G

14.5" Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker Model 711001
I'm waiting for a bonus and had decided to buy a 22.5 WSM, now the question is what can I do to get the 2014 model? Has anyone seen an updated model number, or would you think ordering from one particular place might get it?- Al_G
