    Question for performer owners!

I always use the baskets. I like having the option of positioning the hot coals whereever I want after they're lit.

    Garlic Grilled Pork Tenderloin

This sounds wonderful and I want to make this tonight. Is the tenderloin grilled direct or indirect?

    Beer can chicken help

I routinely roast 8lb beer can chickens on the charcoal grate of my Performer. I use to alum foil the sides of the charcoal baskets with heavy duty foil to prevent overcooking the bird. However, I recently purchased some fire bricks and roasted an 8lb chicken in a drip pan on top of the bricks...

    Humble Pie

Thanks for the kind words Regina and Chris. I'm a prideful man but my pride took a hit tonight. I think you're right about taking some practice before going live again. And the cold beer sounds darn good too. :-)

    Humble Pie

I've only owned the Weber for a few months now but I was already feeling like I was all that and a bag of chips. Until tonight that is. I'd purchased some fire bricks and readied the pizza stone for my 1st attempt at some grilled Friday night pies. Wow - one broken pizza stone and two burnt...

    What Brand Hot Dogs?

Great signature, Jim. I wonder how many of us here enjoy strumming a few cowboy chords while waiting for the coals to gray...

    What Brand Hot Dogs?

The winners were Hofmann Natural Casing German Franks @ $3.48/lb and Nathans Natural Casing Beef Franks @ $4.18/12oz. I found both at the local Walmart. Honorable mention and a best buy @ $2.99/lb goes to Hannaford store brand Natural Casing Franks.

Cajun Bandit Rotisserie vs Weber for Performer

My concern with the battery driven motor is what happens to my meal if the batteries die mid-roast whole I'm not watching. Does it accomodate an optional AC adaptor?

    What Brand Hot Dogs?

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I've found a couple natural casing dogs locally including one store brand which possess the requisite SNAP and taste great. However my wife has strongly recommended that I cease and desist with the hot dogs already. Killjoy.

Cajun Bandit Rotisserie vs Weber for Performer

I didn't know the Cajun motor was battery powered. In that case they aren't really comparably priced. Do you know which rotisseries are compatible with the Cajun SS ring?

Cajun Bandit Rotisserie vs Weber for Performer

I'm ready to take the plunge on one of these rotisserie units. They are comparably priced but are they comparable? Does one hold the advantage over the other?

    What do kids drink?

My kids and their friends drink ice tea - specifically Arnold Palmer Half & Half ice tea/lemonade. Water bottles also a great idea.

Weber Kettle Rotisserie Compatibility with the Performer

I may pull the trigger on one of these this weekend. Any others using this bad boy on their Performers? Is the gap really an issue?

    What Brand Hot Dogs?

They carried Nathans and Hebrew National skinless hotdogs but carried neither brand with natural casings. There was however quite a varied selection of Oscar Mayer weiners. I'm going to check out Walmart on my way home this evening. They're bound to have a better selection.

    What Brand Hot Dogs?

Our local grocer had NONE of the aformentioned hot dogs! :-( I ended up purchasing the store-brand natural casing franks which turned out to be unremarkable in their snap. :-( I'm going to broaden my search parameters to the surrounding area to see if I can score some of these dogs that have...

    What Brand Hot Dogs?

Snap-wise how are the Boar's Head? Lot's of good suggestions so far. I'll be picking up a few different packs of hotdogs at the grocery store tonight.
