Weber Original Charcoal Pizza Oven (Weber Part No 6520)

From the picture it looks like the handle "could" get hot from the air coming out of it, but it maybe could be straightened to be away from the opening OR just use common sense and a glove if it is hot. Of course I could see Weber worrying about lawsuits after a BBQr with 4 beers in them...

Spring tomorrow - still can't dig the grills smokers out

Cliff I have a better option, my 29 year old wanted a suit bag for his new suit, it was some yuppie kind of bag, cost $50 with a hanger, or I am out of the loop on costs. Anyhow, he said he would do what ever I wanted to pay me back so worker-bee get digging! My only concern will he treat...

Spring tomorrow - still can't dig the grills smokers out

I tried to dig out the grills and smokers but the remaining snow is solid ice! Still I can see most of them unlike a month ago. The snow that is left is solid ICE The first picture is my BBQ gear starting to emerge from the snow the other pictures are 3 weeks ago after 8 feet of snow in less...

    Pizza kettle

Could part of lifting the stone be to get the top of the pizza into the hotter air? Also would having the top vent open bring hot air across the top of the pie?

    Pizza kettle

Nate I messed up, I see that I showed part 1 twice, here is the link for part 3 with it in "action" http://chadchandler.com/modified-kettle-wood-fired-pizza-oven-part-3/ The wife said I can just do pizza on the kettle without changing anything just put a stone in, but from what I have seen...

    Pizza kettle

I have started to look into kettle pizzas since my wife won't let me get a new Performer saying my old OTG which is 15 years old but looks brand new is all I need (along with my silver B, 22.5 14.5 WSM and a mini) In doing google searches I came across this post where the guy got an old OTS and...

another foot of snow, decided to use the Big Easy

Look at the pictures from the original post, that was 3 weeks ago, now look at the snow, it just isn't stopping. I don't know if I will ever see my webers again! The upright box is where all my supplies are. I haven't seen my pile of KBB in a month

    Weber Family Portraits

Family portrait, yes they are there, a OTG 22.5, Smokey Joe, WSM 22.5, and you can see the 14.5 WSM peeping out of a 6 foot snow bank. 8 feet of snow in 25 days in Boston! A bit unusual Still grilling on the Silver B since I cannot get to my store of charcoal it is buried under the snow!

another foot of snow, decided to use the Big Easy

I have my two WSM's covered. the Silver B is uncovered right now because I have been using it but I have to shovel a path to it each time. Also when it is 10 degrees or less it takes longer to grill the food.

another foot of snow, decided to use the Big Easy

4 feet of snow covering the barbecues decided to dig out the Big Easy oil-less fryer and cook up a roasting chicken let easier than trying to fire up the WSM smoker. It is supposed to take 10 minutes a pound, this was an 8 pound bird, took 2 hours 15 minutes of course it was 15 degrees outside

WSM 14.5 in snow 12 degrees 20 below windchill - chicken wings

WSM 2-1-1/2 ribs Since Superbowl Sunday was a lot warmer, 22 degrees and only a little wind I threw a rack of ribs on the 14.5. I found the 14.5 wanted to run about 250, no water in the bowl, so I decided to do 2 hours unwrapped, 1 hour wrapped and then 1/2 hour unwrapped. I coated them with...

WSM 14.5 in snow 12 degrees 20 below windchill - chicken wings

Decided to dust off the 14.5 WSM, well actually shovel it out. The wind was gusting to 35 mph and the temp started at 5 degrees and finally hit almost 20! Doing 15 chicken wings on the WSM and 15 on the Silver B (the wife doesn't like smoked chicken). I had to not only shovel off the the...

    A little disapointed in Weber

Chris I am glad you posted that this thread only applies to the 18.5, I was about to run outside clean the snow off my 22.5 and check the waterbowl because I don't remember every having a problem with the coals being too close to the waterbowl. My 14.5 may be a little close but then if I want...
