    12v to 5v blower output

Ok but, why not just attach the SSR to the 12v and keep it simple.

"In Pit" Remote Sensor - Possible?

Hm has the ability for wireless probes. Although, the soldering pads for the wireless add-on board is no longer on the HM Circuit board, it still could be added on. Bryan would have more information about it, though.

    HM not detecting temperature probes

Markus why are you posting on this topic. The OP has Maverick probes, which need to be pulled out from the jack a little bit before they work correctly. I'm not sure what you are talking about in relation to the OP.

    servo/fan problems in RD3

If you would like something more robust, then you should think about using one of my adapter boards. It had a cat5 jack soldered unto a pcb, along with a Thermocouple and 2 meat probe ja ks. No more wired cat5 Jack's to worry about failing

    HM not detecting temperature probes

Sounds like you are using Maverick probes. They have a tad bit longer plug, and need to be pulled out a little to get them to work properly.

Off Topic - Build Mod for HM

    1. I went to my local home Depot and bought a sheet that was 6 inches by whatever and cut it squared. I used a sheet metal cutter at work, we also have a bending machine. I may remove it and make it bigger 6 inches is just a tad too small for connecting the probes and cat5 cable and having...

    4.2 vs 4.3?

If you plan to use the pi zero then go with the 4.3. The only difference between the two versions are how they utilize the different version of the Rpi's. The older 4.2 is more for older RPi version and the 4.3 is for the newer versions. They both work exactly the same.

    Thermocouple mount preference

Onion is perfectly fine, or apple. As long as the tip is exposed, you will be fine to use anything that will hold the Thermocouple were you prefer

Pi header plugged in wrong, No LCD with Pi

I have done something similar, but I can't remember if my LCD screen went kaput or anything else besides the RPI fried. If you tried to flash the Atmega chip and you are getting fuse fault, you may have screwed up the chip.
