I read there's a class in Slidell, La. in September. I'm with some of you about mixing with strangers especially when it comes to something like this. I wonder if they give a discount for husband/wife teams?

Are there any safety issues to the "trash can method"? It looks cool just for the novelty aspect--imagine the conversation having several of these at a tailgate party, but then again the conversation about great Q from a WSM would be greater--but in addition to the safety concern I'm wary of...

Phil, Get it. I did a lot of research before buying mine. I did my first cook yesterday(12-16-04) and everything turned out perfect--and I never smoked anything before in my life (other than cigars). I'm doing my second smoke Sunday. Take the plunge and get it. Amazon will say it ships in 24...
