I’ve been thinking about that. I haven’t found a Weber part that I could repurpose. And I don’t want to drill holes in the firebox. So I might use the rotisserie bracket holes for a shelf to hold an “oven rack”

The open back is similar to other grills in that price range on the market. The cheaper ones have a fixed front panel and no back. Small critters like mice can get anywhere. Motivated dogs can get the door open to get at the grease tray. Big ones could knock the grill over if they want.

Probably doesn’t help prices. Spray paint and adhesives went up dramatically in the past couple of years

The only Massey Ferguson gray I found around me is Majic at Tractor Supply. It matches the gray Webers sheet metal and plastic. Still looking for a high heat paint in that color rated for stoves or grills

More dollars than sense

I think I am about 200lbs of propane per year using my 3 burner Spirit about 10 times a week. About 30 minutes per use.

My east/west Spirit 3 burner burns about 1lb of propane per hour. I use $1 per pound of propane for a cost estimate. My propane cost is low enough where it doesn’t justify switching to a different type of grill. Almost seems like the guy is trying to justify a big grill purchase
