Weber Flat top??? (Australian eBay find)

Anyone know anything about this Weber Flat top? I've never heard of anything like it before... I personally wouldn't want one because of the lack of a lid... but it is clearly a Weber. Are these popular in Australia?

    INFO ON STOKER WIRELESS SYSTEM

I bought and hacked a La Fonera router. I picked a few of them up on ebay at around $25 a piece. They are small enough that I'm planning to dremel out holes in the back of my stoker for the antenna and such so that it's permanently inside of my stoker. (If you have ever taken the stoker apart...

    Wooden cart for WSM

"Lightning McQueen: All right, Luigi, give me the best set of black walls you've got. Luigi: No, no, no! You don't know what you want! Luigi know what you want. Black-wall tires, they blend into the pavement, but these white-wall tires, they say look at me, here I am, love me." (Ok, my 2-year...

    Weber Kettles: Not hail proof

High wind usually helps empty my ash pan before I ever get around to it. I can only imagine what that hail would have done to someone's head... My head is probably a lot easier to dent than my kettle... ouch.

Craigslist Score! (Genesis 1000 for $80) - now what?

I just bought a Charbroil regulator from Lowes and used the adapters that the previous owner had on to connect to their NG hose. I teflon-taped the male pieces, but not the flare pieces - and bubble tested it... No bubbles So - just fired it up for the first time. Since the flame dials are...

    Weber Kettles: Not hail proof

My sister lives in MN and just emailed me this link to her blog: http://brihogan.blogspot.com/2008/05/hail-damage.html They had baseball size hail yesterday. Looks like she might be calling up weber to order a replacement lid sometime soon. Anyone else ever have Zeus take issue with their...

    Wooden cart for WSM

The breakaway looks nice. I wonder if it could work with a stainless steel top... If I were doing it for myself, I'd definitely put some power stuff in there - like a dedicated stoker holder that would be able to keep the stoker out of the rain - Maybe just route some electrical wire up...

    One Touch Platinum to Performer?

You can check out the schematics of the parts on Weber's site - and take look at the bottom bowl of the performer. It's probably not an entire bowl replacement - but you would obviously have to drill a hole for the gas assist. I don't have a performer here - so I can't take any pictures for...

Making a "gas assist" Chimney starter?

Anyone ever consider taking a chimney starter and finding a way to attach a propane torch to it so it would have a kind of easy-to-use gas-assist? Of course, making some kind of "sit chimney-starter here" aparatus would probably make more sense - perhaps get a cheap butane camping stove and...

    Weber Kettle Gas Conversion Kit

Ahh... but the real trick is - how often can you find an excuse to use them all at once! (I am rounding off my collection tomorrow when I get my craigslist find of an excellent-condition Genesis 1000 connected up to an LP tank and running) If they had this mod available in the US for a...

    One Touch Silver LIMITED?

I emailed weber about One Touch Gold Limited... etc - here's what I heard back: --- Hello Mr. Gardner, Thank you for your inquiry regarding if the One-Touch Gold Limited will ever be offered here in the U.S. market. We did sell this unit here in the U.S. back throughout the 90's with dismal...

    A Little Help

Opening the lid will drop the grill temp down about 10 or 15 degrees - but it will recover. If the probes are giving you inconsistent results - definitely test them. Calibrated probes are extremely important. The second thing would be probe placement. Don't put it next to the bone, and don't...

    Guru Eyelets

Do stoker probes actually fit through them? I bought a set of eyelets from the Rocks BBQ with my stoker and they are basically worthless - the probes don't fit because the protective sheath over them is too wide to fit through the eyelet. Are the Guru ones bigger than the ones Rock's sells?

Used Performer: Will it fit in my car ?

That sounds like a good price - not a jaw-dropping deal, but definitely a fair price. Is it the older stainless style, or the newer kind? Either way - you got a sweet grill.

Craigslist Score! (Genesis 1000 for $80) - now what?

The outside of the grill says it wants pressure of 10.5 column inches - good thing I double checked that - because I almost bought some "Bayou Classic 10psi regulator" - which would not have been a good idea. The conversion factor from column inches to psi is apparently 0.03613 - which means...
