Pork butt on a Weber kettle or gas grill. Any tips?

I did a butt under similar circumstances. I was at a friends house for a long weekend and he wanted to cook a butt. He had no grill. We got onto CL and picked up a ots for 35 bucks, on the way home got a 6.5 lb butt, 2 bags of K and all of my ingredients for the sauce & rub. Its the same...

    First Cook with ATC

I have the auber, my cooks are on average 275 degrees. If you wanted higher temps you can go with the 10 cfm fan. Now all you need is a plastic container to protect it from the elements on overnight cooks.

    Auber vs. iQue

Mike you will not regret getting the Auber. It does the same as the more popular brands for a lot less $$$. It depends on how many bells and whistle you are looking for. Its like getting a Toyota Camry vs a Lexus E350. They are the same car, once has more bells & whistles. I've had mine for...

anyone know what kind this is

That's a nice piece of equipment. You do a nice variety of meets on there. Setup different zones and heights. It would make for a great brazilian style steakhouse meal. thats the only thing that I could think of using it for.

    Bradley electric smoker?

I hear that they are OK but you need to hook up a PID to better control the temperature like this Auber Bradley Smoker Controller. I've heard that when added to the Bradley Smoker it works really well.

    Chris Lilley's Championship Injection ?

Next time you make it add the salt a little at a time and taste. Keep track of how much salt you. Once you find that it tastes just right then inject. After the meat is cooked taste test it. If it is spot on continue to do that, if undersalted add a little more for the next cook if over...

    Just got my Auber ATC

I typically use my auber for cooks around 275. I have done a couple hh with the auber but I find that it has trouble getting to 325. I have a 6.5 cfm fan. I have a 22 wsm, I wish I would have gotten the larger fan as I have the larger wsm. I typically get my fire started and turn the fan...

    Can't decide. 22 vs 18

It's a local bbq equipment store. They keep me pretty well stocked up with wood. Its called BBQ Grill Station in Orlando, FL. The sell all types of wood, accesories, green eggs, webers, pellet grills, primo's and a bunch of higher end gas grills ranging from $400 to $4000. They also do...

    Getting K started story

I was playing softball yesterday. One of the teams that was going to play after us decided to grill some burgers & dogs. The guy had a brand new 18.5 weber. The guy throws the charcoal in the grill and throws some matches in there. I go out and play some defense and return and noticed all of...
