    Why not just use poultry string to tie the beer can chicken holder to the grate. Lift the chicken and let the grate be the third hand?

    My thoughts are just to use the elongated vents as an ash sweeper only and the other vents just as vents. Just taking suggestions.

    Has anyone ever taken a OTG silver or gold and made a hybrid? What I am talking about is taking a 18.5 lid vent replacement kit and drilling out the bottom of of a OTS/OTG and putting the vent down there like an old Bar-B-Kettle. Just a thought. Have a older platinum offered to me for free...

    Do you baste your pork butt?

    I never have and have made several. Onion flakes, garlic flakes, a little salt and pepper is all you need.

    Depends on what you are doing. For lower temps I use only half a chimney and bank to one side. If I have to I have a Kingsford temp gauge that sits on the grill grate. Cost me about 6 bucks and works good. Grilling is an art, pay attention to what works and what does not. Don't get...

    When I did cedar planked salmon I did not preheat the plank. It turned out with a mild flavor.

    STOK Grills on sale @ Home Depot

    Was just in a Home Depot. It appears these may have been discontinued. Seen one today for $50. I think I payed $50 for the CI grill alone. At that price I am thinking of picking it up tomorrow. Another CI Grate, pizza stone and the handle tool. Take the rest of it to the metal recycling place.

    Lamb shoulder blade chop

    This is the way I did them last time. Click here. I have also used yogurt in marinade for chicken and goat. Use Greek yogurt though otherwise you need to put the yogurt on cheese cloth suspended above a bowl to drain the liquid from it. The yogurt basically evaporates away when you cook it.
