    Found this at Costco today

We went to Nashville in May - took in a tour of Jack Daniel's. Ol' Jack was a school drop-out, self made man, who built an empire & literally lost it all, by kicking his safe. Fascinating & beautiful place down in the holler; It smelled wonderful! At the end of the tour, they sat us down in a...

For traveling - Smoky Joe or Go Anywhere?

Depends on how many people you're cooking for. For years I cooked on the go anywhere grill for the 2 of us. Steaks & taters, beef ribs, tri-tips, you name it.

    My Favorite Commercial BBQ Sauce(s)

Don't understand all the love for sweet baby rays - way too runny... I like a thicker sauce that will tend to stay on my meat

    Crabs...you can keep them!

I'm not much of a "cork sniffer" when it comes to crab - I've had it but couldn't tell you what kind it was or how great it was. Used to see it alot at buffets, pre covid. Honestly, I find it's alot of work for very little payoff; My lazy self would usually just get something else that's...

    Controversial Combos: what are yours?

It's interesting, alot of stuff mentioned here is what my parents generation did. Ketchup on eggs, salted fruit, beer etc. They think a taco MUST have a hard shell, beef, beans & maybe cheese. Soft taco with steak or chicken, fish or shrimp? Nope! Chevichi? Cilantro? (All YUM!) They won't touch...

    Post your city, please

The city where I live. Not really photogenic - too many cars, buildings & people. But hey, 1 hour to the beach, 1 hour to the mountains, 2 hours to Disneyland - unless there's traffic (which is always!), then all bets are off.

    4th of July menu

For me, bbq is dictated by what I can find. I found baby backs. Abt's (appetizer), ribs, tater salad, watermelon, garlic bread. For dessert - fresh strawberry shortcake.

    2006 Panasonic plasma RIP

I have a 42' 720p lcd LG from 2004. I did a cap job on it 10-15 years ago. It's still going; will not die. Every time I goto Best Buy, I have a look (drool) at the newest models that are light years bigger & better for 1/3 the price.

What’s the deal with charcoal in 2023??

I ain't playing Kingsford's game. I've been picking up mesquite lump a the local Mexican supermarket chain for a while now. 15lb bag for $6-8. Yea, there's slag to deal with but, it smells WAY better than Kingsford.
