I don't SEE... where Ralph was "chastising anything.........he has given good ideas to JohnW.........seems to me that someone has a burr up his butt! But thats just my observation, why can't everyone just get along??
You can bring back maverick probes by placing the sensor part in a pan of veg. oil and warm it till the probe stops bubbles coming out where wire goes in. Not saying they will last a long time this way , but could use them as a backup.
when you have the homepage up, scrol down to bottom, configuration, and change probe types to TX something....can't remember exact at the moment, then hit save.
Only time I have ever had an LCD screen freeze solid, was in Lake Superior with a windchill of minus 65 degrees F..........that was on a small boat so I doubt you'll have any problems using it for smoking. Don't think it will get that cold.
