    Stoker Integration

I think the extension cord is a fine way to go. My reel on the house is a $30 30' 16/3 extension cord. My patch cords and wiring in the house is 16/3 power tool cable (available in bulk at your local hardware store). There is a discussion in Scooter's thread (and I think elsewhere)...

    Advice for Stoker newbie

I found the tip to be "+" and the sleeve to be "-". With the 5cfm fan running and using the small PS, I measure between 4.87v and 4.93v on a 70'+ 16/3 run. I have higher voltage with the larger ps. Running the 10cfm fan, I measure significantly lower (2 - 3 v range) and the system will not...

    Advice for Stoker newbie

I took some pics of my integration. I don't want to hijack this thread, so have started a new one for Stoker Integration, but it seems worth mentioning here. They can be found here: http://tvwbb.com/eve/forums?a=...751070616#8751070616 And direct to pics here: Integration Pics Here's one...

    Stoker Integration

I've recently integrated my stoker system into my home. The Stoker is located in the kitchen and runs the BBQ on the patio. Here's a couple pics, with the rest located here: http://s1123.photobucket.com/a...toker%20Integration/

    Stokerlog + iPad

The other nice thing about using vnc is that multiple clients can access it. I run Stokerlog on a headless home automation machine that is on 24/7. I use VNC also from my main desktop PC, which goes to sleep after a timeout period and overnight. This allows it to keep running on overnight...

    Advice for Stoker newbie

My guess is that it is actually parallel, with the jacks daisy chained. I've wired some mult boxes this way and they work fine.

    Stokerlog Version 6

I use twitter on the Stoker. What would the advantage be to having it in stokerlog? I'd be inclined to say that it is not needed in stokerlog as it is available on the stoker and works in concert with stokerlog.

    Stokerlog + iPad

Using VNC, I am able to view Stokerlog on my ipad. Very cool. The ipad is a more convenient monitor to drag around with me. Just need to install VNC on Stokerlog workstation and on the ipad.

    Stokerlog + Sonos = A Winning Combination

I've recently reconfigured my Stoker/Stokerlog set up. One of the things that has changed is that I now run Stokerlog on my home automation server, which lives remote to the living area of my house in the machine room. The benefit to this is that this PC is always on. It also runs my lighting...
