New remote thermometer shopping. Smoke better than Maverick ET-732?

I never had a Maverick but I do have a Chef Alarm, Smoke and a Dot. The Chef Alarm I`ve had for 2 yrs very happy with it. Still using the same probes that came with it. The Chef Alarm was good for monitoring grate temps. Good for chicken but not so good for long smokes as you had to keep running...

    Weber Charcoal - $12/bag at Lowe's

Now I can tell you the rest of the story. I had written a good post previous but it didn`t take than kicked me off. Anyhow filled chimney 3/4 full with weber briq using a 22 inch kettle with slow n sear and chef alarm. Windy and cold in Pa. Low 40`s and 10-20 mph winds. Maintain 330, 1 hr for 4...

    Weber Charcoal - $12/bag at Lowe's

This is for Alan D. Yes this is very good charcoal so grab it while it is on sale. Yes it is borderline expensive at regular price but they say all natural hardwood, to me that's a big plus.

    Weber Charcoal - $12/bag at Lowe's

Just bought some at Lowe`s. Bought 4 bags. 12 bucks for a twenty lb. bag is a good price. I like Stubbs also but they haven`t run any specials yet. Weber charcoal takes longer to light than KBB or Stubbs but once lit burns longer.

    Water pan cover

George, this pan covers the top of the water bowl. Actually sits in the bowl or if you remove the bowl will fit in the clips. Eliminates wrapping the bowl in foil. Just wrap the cover. Easy cleanup.

    Beer Can Chicken

Thanks for all the replies. I was leaning toward purchase of rotisserie till I made Beer Can Chicken. It had been a while since I made one and it was delicious. Moist and skin was crispy. Used weber recipe. Cooked indirect at 325 for about 1hr and 15 min. Guess I`ll have to do another one and...

    Beer Can Chicken

Hello everyone. Have a question on the rotisserie for 22 inch Kettle. Have you ever done Beer Can Chicken? How does it compare to rotisserie chicken?

    My thoughts on Weber's Charcoal

I normally buy Stubbs cause of the clean burn and all natural. I have KBB but don`t use for long cooks. Stubbs lights up pretty quick and doesn`t have the awful smell. Lasts a long time too. I bought a bag of Weber to try out. Took a little longer than Stubbs. Seemed to burn clean. Liked cooking...

    Hello

Hi everyone. Newbie here though not new to charcoal cooking. It has been about 17 or 18 yrs. on charcoal after I got tired of always replacing parts on the gas grill. They were the cheaper grills so don`t know if the more expensive gas grill lasted longer. But since I went to charcoal I have...
