    General 3D Printing Thread

Thanks for the info Bryan. I started printing my C-bot parts last week and then ran into a raging mess inside my hotend with PETG leaking out of the heatbreak. Like a doofus, I tried removing the nozzle without heating the hotend enough and snapped the head off the nozzle. Waiting for new...

Hey Bryan, What firmware and controller software are you running on your C-Bot?

Thanks! It is weird they are skipping 1.6. I didn't know about RAMPS 1.7 until I read your post about the TMC2130 drivers and stumbled on the RAMPS development page. It does look like it will be nice and the ability to use the TMC2130 drivers without modification will be sweet.

Like most things in life, I get all fired up about doing a project and it takes about a year before I get started on it. I built an Ord Bot Hadron about 4 years ago but really struggled back then to get it to print nicely without everything warping like crazy so I disassembled it and stored it...

Hi Guys, I am getting my Hadron OrdBot setup to print again, mainly so I can print my own parts to build a 300x300 corexy D-Bot printer. It has been a couple of years since I was printing anything and it seems there have been some advances in filament and hotends. I was wondering if people...

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

Hi Steve, Trying to decide which damper design to go with. I really like your Micro Damper but I have a question about the CFMs you get using the recommended fan. I have the 18" WSM and currently have the dog bowl with a 6.3 CFM blower hooked up. Sometimes I like to crank the temp up for...

I figured you used the BOM for as much as would work and then just modified after that. I am glad the BOM uses a ball lead screw. My current Ordbot just uses a regular non-ball lead screw (threaded rod, Lol!). I should be able to take those motor mounts off of the Fusion360 and pull them into...

Those print settings are good to know! Is your build including the parts you used documented anywhere? I don't want to keep bugging you but I like a few of your mods and wouldn't mind replicating them. 1. Did you use the BOM specified Z-screws and motor? 2. Are your modified X-Y motor...

Wow! Nice work. Thanks Bryan for taking the time to give me the info. I just ordered .6mm and .8mm brass nozzles. The E3D v6 came with a .4mm brass nozzle so I should have a good number of nozzles to try out once I get the Ordbot back into shape. I really never quite fully understood the...

Thanks Bryan for all of the great info!! I do have an E3D V6. In reading through everything you wrote, I will most likely order a .6mm nozzle for it since I ordered it with a .25 and I think it might have contributed to some of my issues. I will definitely fashion some sort of enclosure to...

Hey guys, I think I am going to go ahead and build a corexy, leaning towards the J-Bot which is really a D-bot but the print bed is supported on the front as well as the back. I have a couple of questions for you (the first one is really for the D-Bot owners): 1. Where did you get your...

    HeaterMeter Hardware v4.3.3, v4.3.4, v4.3.5, v4.3.6

Thanks Bryan, I guess a followup question would be is there a modify my current HM 4.0 to be able to control a servo like the various damper options here on the boards that I could have someone print me up until I can get my printer working? Don't mean to hijack this 4.3.3 thread. Thanks...

    HeaterMeter Hardware v4.3.3, v4.3.4, v4.3.5, v4.3.6

Thanks VicusJ, Glad to know the 4 line still works. Hey Bryan, are you printing up any 4 line 4.3 cases? I bought my last 4.0 case from Tom but I just did a search and it looks like his last post was back in January. I didn't see a 4 line option for a 4.3 case in the Heatermeter store...

    HeaterMeter Hardware v4.3.3, v4.3.4, v4.3.5, v4.3.6

Hi Guys, Just getting back on here after taking quite a while being away. I am still using my HM 4.0 w software v 20130604B. I know it's not fancy but the dang thing just works. I have been wanting to step up and get a damper but I am not sure my board would support it. Does the new v4.3.3...

Hey WBegg, Just curious on the durability of the Flashforge build tape you use. It is pretty thick and durable? Also, I have a 3/8" glass build surface, do you think it would apply well and work on the glass since I don't have the Flashforge build plate? Thanks, Troy

Problem with Heatermeter disconnecting from the network

The interesting thing is that it still works fine, you just can't get it on the network. It's like the network both wifi and wired aren't working. Hopefully the reflash will work. I have all the parts to build another, I just need to build one for use as a spare.

Problem with Heatermeter disconnecting from the network

Hello all, I have been loving my heater meter for almost 2 years now but the last two cooks, it has stop responding on the network. The heater meter itself still works fine but you just can't see it on the network. Wired or wireless. Here is the message that first comes up after it craps...

Ok, so now I understand the difference between 123D beta and 123D that autodesk lets you download now. It seems that most if not all that are linked on this forum are from 123D beta which the non-beta version will not open. Tom - I found the link for the beta in this thread but it now points...
